My tips for using:
* Taking photos. Try to shoot the same thing in different modes - you can never predict which mode is suitable for the selected subject;
* Taking photos. If possible, put the camera on a tripod or any flat surface - it trembles in your hands (you may not notice this). I conducted this experiment several times - the photos are clearer and better;
* Taking photos. In 99% of cases, if you photograph a face or a person in full height, and the head is close to the edge - that's it, the head will become oval and you will get a very unpleasant distortion. And in general, if something is of a certain shape at the very top of the frame, it stretches upwards. To avoid this, leave the place at the top empty of the head, and so, your head will be proportionally sized and nothing will be distorted;
* Shooting videos. Choose HD 720p - it has 2 times the resolution, and therefore shoots clearer and better, but there is a minus - the video will weigh a lot of MB;
* Shooting videos. If you are shooting outdoors, turn on wind noise suppression;
* Shooting videos. And of course, if possible, put the camera on a flat surface or tripod, because it is sensitive to even the lightest movements.
I bought this camera not so long ago. But immediately after the purchase, I turned it in every possible way, twisted and took pictures of everything that was not in the end. I spent several days in such a rush and, of course, I have something to say.
I'll start from the beginning. The camera was my old dream. And when the opportunity to purchase it appeared a month ago, I was extremely happy. After going through all the hardware stores in my small town, I noticed several models for myself. These were: this nikon, canon, Olimpus and sony. The price category of all copies was about the same. I didn't want to buy an ordinary soap dish, but I also didn't want a complicated expensive mirror. Therefore, I settled on such semi-professionals. After a week of analyzing information on all subjects on the Internet, reading reviews, and talking with consultants, I was absolutely sure what I needed. And on that very, responsible day of purchase, I made out everything I needed in just 15 minutes and already left the store with the cherished box in my hands.
Among its competitors, my nikon differed favorably by quite a bit. But there was much more information about him than about other cameras. And so I settled on him.
He has:
-decent light sensitivity range of 80-1600
-16 MP resolution, which allows you to print pictures of almost poster size
-26x optical zoom, which gives just a huge approximation
-there is a popular feature - panorama, but photos need to be glued on the computer
-a fairly comfortable case, despite its impressive appearance, it is very convenient to hold it even with one hand
-it works on 4 finger batteries, for anyone, but for me it's a plus, now I have batteries there and if I go somewhere (to nature, for example) I take a stock of batteries with me and there is no problem of a sparse camera for me
-many different settings, complete set, and sunset, and dawn, and landscape, and portrait all you need
is pictures in the "macro" mode are of good quality
If you are particularly picky, then the disadvantages include: the absence of a case and a USB flash drive in the package. But on the other hand, now almost every model has components that need to be purchased separately.
I also want to say that many people here have complained about the disgustingly poor quality of the pictures.. As they say: where the hands grow from. I also didn't get high-quality pictures right away, I just need to get used to it and adjust the camera for myself.
in conclusion, I want to say that this model is an excellent budget option for those who want to approach photos more seriously than a simple man in the street and do not want to spend money on expensive SLR cameras. With all responsibility, I put a solid five!

First, a little preface, how and why I chose this camera.
I bought this camera in 2012, when it actually appeared in sales.
At that time, I did not have a phone with a good camera and decided that it was worth thinking about buying a camera, which I did not want, because for me it was a waste of money. I am not a professional photographer, and you can capture the moments of your life on a regular photo-soap dish. But I wanted the model to be something like a professional one, and that's how I was racking my head....
Besides, having moved to another country, I had more time and desire to photograph everything and a lot. As a result, after digging through many sites and reviewing many models, I found this one.
I liked that the model was presented in three color schemes: Black, Blue and Burgundy.
I am madly in love with the color blue and therefore the choice of color, of course, was not a problem for me.
I chose the camera in blue.
The problem was different, at that time there was no such model in our city and country and I had to order it from Russia. Thanks to a friend who ordered it, paid for it, tried it out and brought it. In addition, the seller was very good (despite the purchase on the Internet), I was given a guarantee that I could use in Europe in case of a breakdown or any problems.
What I wanted from the camera I was buying:
- Photo quality
- Availability of video recording
- Easy to use, but with several additional functions
- The presence of a foreign language, in case you have to give friends to use.
My requirements were limited to this, but everything is simple and complicated. Once again, I'm not a professional, so video and photo quality were the main factor for me.
Camera design and equipment:
As I already wrote, the camera is blue. The design is simple, practical.
Nothing superfluous. A convenient handle, there are buttons to adjust shooting on the side of the camera (screen).
Just above the panel with buttons there is a button for video shooting.
On top there are buttons for on/off, a button for shooting and zoom settings.
There is also a microphone hole on top. Which by the way is very successful, if you record a video, then there will be no problems with sound. You don't have to control whether you are heard or not.
There is also a tripod connector. And the lens cap.

The lid opens easily, but closing it is a problem for me personally, at first I was afraid to break the lid. And the problem is that if the lid breaks, then the device can be automatically thrown away or repaired in good service, because the batteries will not be fixed accordingly and you will not be able to remove them.
My advice: until you get used to closing, always look at the instructions.
Battery powered: I will say right away that for me personally it turned out to be both convenient and not convenient at the same time.
I haven't decided yet.
On the one hand: it is convenient to change the batteries at any time when the camera runs out and continue shooting.
On the other hand: it is not always possible or willing to take spare batteries with you. What is easier, I threw it into the bag and went, and if, for example, I left the bag at home or I just don't want to take it.
That's where it's a problem for me.
On the other hand, the same problem and if charging from the battery, it can also sit down and have to go to charge the camera. But then you have to wait until it is charged.
There is no such problem with batteries.
And it seems that then what is my reason to doubt:
And the fact is that the batteries with constant shooting without a break are not enough for a long time.
I don't know, though, how long the battery lasts.
At this point, you already decide for yourself which camera you want.

We swam and sunbathed, after the next swim, I did not notice the camera under the towel and accidentally, not much stepped on the camera handle, where the shooting and zoom button is located. There was an understandable crunch, I was afraid that the whole device came to an end a couple of days after the purchase. But no, the button and the device passed the test. The zoom wheel was only slightly damaged, it began to hang out a little. But it still works. So I have no doubts about this point.

To shoot 3D photos, you need to suffer. Therefore, I do not have such photos for the entire time of using the camera. It's too dreary.
There is no memory card.
What conclusion can I draw:
I am glad that I bought this camera model.
I did not lose. Now I use it only on long journeys. When you walk a lot and you need to keep the phone charging for a long time.
If someone is thinking about buying, I advise. But now you can do with a phone.

A good camera for non-professionals. You just need to learn how to use it, rummage through the settings and learn, view all the modes.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to upload a photo of the fireworks on a summer night. But take my word for it, the photo is cool, bright, not smudged!

4. 4hAA batteries - not included. Better than a battery, which is expensive. But I will say right away they are not enough for long, their capacity is 450 photos. If you remove the fideo, then even less, respectively;
5. The flash is excellent;
6. Although the video quality is 720p, but when displayed on a 24" monitor, it can be seen that it shoots very well and allows you to expand it to full screen. It is also possible to use a zoom while shooting a video - it automatically focuses!;
7. Excellent quality of night photo shooting - you need to choose the sunset or dawn mode;

Disadvantages:

Of the disadvantages, batteries run out too quickly - even rechargeable ones, and this is a pichalka. It's also a shame that in a room where there is not enough light, the pictures are not very clear - so for me it's all such a camera for the sea.
Nikon Coolpix L810 is a camera for everyone! If you want an inexpensive, but practical and convenient camera, then this model is very suitable. My Nikon is already 1.5 years old, but I still haven't figured out all the functions and additions, and there are quite a lot of them. It is very convenient to adjust by itself, but it is not suitable for professional shooting. Amateur, but bright, clear, it's a pleasure to take photos on it. There is also a small photo processing function right on the device itself. For me, the downside is battery power, so you always need to carry a spare set of batteries with you. It would be much more convenient to charge if necessary.
This camera was presented to me on March 8 (they bought it for 6,390 rubles in m.video), I was not delighted with the device, but in any case it is better than a soap dish. Over time, I have already got used to it, I am not always satisfied with the quality of the photo, because the auto mode does not always satisfy 100%, and taking pictures of nature, animals, people, movement, etc. + different times of day and lighting - requires certain shooting modes, while you change something (even a fraction of a second) and that's it, the object has disappeared from view (for example, butterflies on flowers).

I also often use the twilight / dawn or sunset mode, and in the summer-the beach (on the river, lake, etc.).
The flash consumes a lot of energy, but I only occasionally need it. The battery division lines are not shown on the screen (there are 4 A4 batteries here), so we can only guess or wait for the battery to run out. Batteries (regular) will run out quickly, so it's better to buy mini-batteries and a charger for them (for 4 batteries).
Convenience: after soap dishes, your hands will get used to it for a while, but then it will be "wild" to hold soap dishes in your hands. Usually I hang the device around my neck, so I wear it and take pictures. Large dimensions do not bother me, because there is a mini backpack. Saves quickly (relatively) depending on the size of the image, I set up a photo of no more than 1 MB. The transfer of the received photos is possible using a USB cable or by taking out a memory card and inserting it into a netbook, you can also print photos directly. Minuses:
