It seemed to us that this camera perfectly combines these qualities.The cost of Samsung ST700 has not changed much and is about 210 dollars. It's nice to hold, not heavy at all, great design. Very decent camera, if you are not seriously into photography, there are a lot of modes, here are a couple of them: intelligent, child, macro, self-timer, correct poses, intelligent video, shooting jumps, etc. I like that the soapbox adjusts itself to the lighting and the subject. The body is metal, a little bit marred, but has not scratched during use, looks like new. The touch screen is soft and different from phone screens. It responds to both stylus and fingers.
To summarize I can say that the purchase is very successful, I am happy with the camera so far, it works like clockwork and the quality of pictures is decent.

Strengths: Two displays.HD video. Compactness (fits in your pocket even with your phone). Stylish design. Functionality worthy of a separate mention: the function of children's photos, when the external display shows a cartoon, acts on children like a pout on a cobra, the child will look only at the camera and nowhere else. The self-portrait is great. Proper poses: when the external display shows outlines and the person being photographed only needs to adjust to them. Lots of useful and not so useful features. In fact, here we are dealing with related software built right into the camera.
Disadvantages: The quality of pictures in low light is noticeably worse than in normal light. The button to turn on the second display sticks a bit. The noise of the zoom mechanism is audible when recording video. The sensor is not as good as in Samsung phones.
It's a great camera! If you are not into photography on a professional basis and are looking for a soapbox, but quality, then this device is what you need!

After buying a camera for 4 and a half thousand rubles, everything was going well. However, over time there were problems: delays when pressing the shutter button, slow shooting of children and failures in the touch screen. We tried calibrating the display, but to no avail. Installing the software on the computer also didn't help as an error occurred during the update. In the end, we decided to refuse Samsung products and never buy their products again.
The Samsung ST700 camera has many advantages. It takes high-quality and sharp pictures with excellent color reproduction and records high-quality HD video. The camera control is intuitive thanks to a well-structured menu. It can be configured either with the stylus or with your fingers. The camera's screen is also commendable. I did not expect to use it so often. Overall, the model deserves an "excellent" rating.
However, there are some disadvantages of the Samsung ST700. The batteries are only compatible with Samsung devices. There are no complaints about the batteries themselves, but it would be convenient to be able to take them with you when traveling or hiking. If the battery runs low, you could replace it with a pre-charged battery. Overall, the Samsung ST700 camera is an excellent pocket model and I am very happy with my purchase.
