Samsung ES65 Camera Instruction and Review

Advantages of Samsung ES65: a great device! I bought it more than two months ago for 2250 rubles, and everything suits me.

Advantages: I have been using this camera for a year now, I have shot in cold weather, in the heat, in rain and snowstorms. It has never failed once, and the temperature of -23 degrees was nothing for it. Great macro, good landscapes, video is a B, but for such a machine it's an A. Smart-mode is very smart, recognizes faces without problems, for those for whom this is not enough, there is a program mode with many settings. Bought for 5 thousand, now costs 2.5 thousand - this technique is suitable for beginners: simple and clear menu, durable body (fell on the concrete floor), good battery, does not conflict with the computer.

Disadvantages: No quick switch to video, all through electronic menu. When shooting video, when you zoom in or out, the sound is lost. Lens shutters after half a year begin to open with a delay (you have to help with your finger). They are located too close to the lens, and if a grain of sand or other hard object gets there, when closing the shutter, it will move it with its movements, leaving scratches on the lens. As a result, black dots may appear on the photos (especially noticeable when shooting the sky, snow and other light-colored surfaces). This model is terrible at taking pictures and shooting at night! No matter how I adjust the settings, it does not work (noise appears when you increase the ISO).

Samsung ES65 pros: What more could you want from a compact camera? The colors are amazing! You often hear the question: "Did you shoot with a DSLR?" User-friendly interface, manual settings are enough, you can edit photos directly in the camera, excellent quality, I'm happy with the purchase for the second time and can't get enough! Outdoor photos are excellent, of course, do not expect miracles, but in the evening the camera will not let you down! Portraits in natural light I estimate on a solid four, indoors there is a lot of noise, it is better to shoot in the fresh air! Landscapes are great!

Minuses Samsung ES65: the first camera broke because of the lens, it stopped opening, I did not give it to repair and bought a new one! Comment: I want to go to the next level and buy a DSLR camera, in a week I will test Sony A290! I hope it will live up to my expectations!

Advantages of the Samsung ES65: lightweight, easy to understand menu, many scene settings, excellent shots even without the use of a tripod. There is a flash, which can be turned off if necessary. In experienced hands, the device shoots no worse than expensive models.

Disadvantages of Samsung ES65: so far not found. It would be good to have a spare battery, as regular batteries are not suitable.

And so, a convenient camera as a backup. It is light, fits even in a pocket, you can carry it with you every day. I have been using it for two months and do not regret the purchase. Despite the availability of Nikon L-100, I recommend buying this model.

The quality of photos is excellent (if not compared to professional devices). For this price - just perfect! I've never had to charge the battery, I took a lot of pictures and while I was uploading them to my computer, it just had time to charge. Lots of photo settings and there's also a smart mode.

Disadvantages of Samsung ES65: when using zoom while shooting video, the sound is lost when zooming in and out.

In general, I recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive and quality device!

Advantages of Samsung ES65: compact size, battery life longer than AA alkaline batteries, fast USB charging, good macro, fast menu and photo processing.

Samsung ES65 disadvantages: very complicated menu, still haven't figured out how to turn on the voice recorder. Strong noise in low light, smooths out sharp transitions (typical for Samsung). Because of the non-standard USB connector this device is not suitable for professionals.

This device is not for professionals and not for those who are tech savvy, but the price, quality and features make it a great choice! Noise in low light conditions is expected, but for such a price I am ready to put up with it.

Advantages of the Samsung ES65 camera: fast focusing, quick start, many modes, automatic mode works correctly, own battery (3.7 V, 750 mAh), charger with USB cord, you can charge the camera, player and smartphone.

The disadvantages of the Samsung ES65 camera: strong noise when focusing, non-standard connector (not miniUSB) to connect to a computer, stained plastic body and screen, from which it is difficult to remove prints (on the black body prints are less noticeable).

Although I'm not a fan of Samsung tech, this camera pleasantly surprised me, except for the hard disk. The stabilizer is only digital, but there are no special complaints about the work. The kit may include an SD memory card up to 2 gigabytes (I did not have it), specify the package when buying.

Advantages of Samsung ES65: not bad for those who don't need high quality pictures; passable photography for its price; simple and easily customizable functions; compact, fits in your pocket.

Disadvantages of Samsung ES65: changing modes does not greatly affect the quality of shooting, for example, night mode does not save when shooting in the dark; inconvenient menu for viewing photos by date, it is difficult to find; inconvenient control using the center buttons (up-down, left-right), they are difficult to press; low video resolution, but it is not a video camera, so it can not be considered a disadvantage.

There are other disadvantages, but all at once can not remember. Since the camera is already out of production, I had to look for information about its cost. It turned out that on average it cost 2500 rubles. And we bought it for 4500 rubles. Therefore, the overall impression is even worse. This camera is suitable for those who have no experience with digital cameras, but nowadays there are almost no such people left, so perhaps this particular camera is already outdated.

Strengths: I can't think of any advantages.

Disadvantages: in my opinion, the model is terrible. To start with, there is no roller on the top to switch shooting modes. Samsung is a solid company, but when are they finally going to fix the problem with mute when zooming in on video? You can only take reasonably good pictures in very good daylight. In the dark or in artificial light, the results are terrible. If you want to give this model to your mom or grandma who will just take pictures of relatives around the table, this is a great choice. But if you are at all self-loving and have a passion for photography, you will be disappointed. I tried for a long time to take good photos, but to no avail. The 10 megapixels I didn't feel the 10 megapixels. Canon with 5 megapixels shoots better. This is my subjective opinion as my mom bought this camera without my knowledge and now uses it.

Hello! Today I want to share a review of my little helper - a camera, with which I took all the photos for this review and not only. The box shows the main characteristics and simple design. In the box you will find: disk, manual, warranty card, a rope (by the way, a very handy thing), charger, which also serves as a USB cable, and a battery. The charger is equipped with an indicator (arrow): during charging it lights up red, and when the device is charged, the color changes to green.Separately I want to tell you about the battery. At the time of purchase many cameras worked on ordinary batteries. This model was a real discovery for me, because it uses a rechargeable battery. One charge is enough for a long time: with daily use I have enough for about a week. Fast charging is also a plus.

The cost of the camera at the time of purchase was about 14-15 thousand tenge (about 3 thousand rubles). This is an average price for such devices. I have been using it for 5-6 years. At the bottom there is a hole for a tripod and a sticker with some information. The battery and flash card are placed at the bottom, the cover opens easily, without effort and damage to fingernails. The camera is compact and neat looking, lightweight. It fits easily into a small bag and does not weigh it down. The device rests comfortably in your hand. During my studies I always carried it with me, so it got some scratches. Working with the device is very easy: there are two buttons on the top - oblong for on/off and round for shooting. On the back panel of the camera there is a rather large (for such a device) screen and buttons for setting the shooting parameters. The upper oblong button is responsible for adjusting the zoom (proximity). The screen is bright, the buttons do not lag and are easy to press.

The menu is simple and easy to use, with many languages available, including Russian. The menu allows you to customize the basic shooting settings as well as select modes. Although there are many different modes, I usually use the program mode. If my parents take the camera (which is rare), I choose the smart mode. Macro is activated directly while shooting, not through the menu. There is a timer and a variety of flash settings. I could go into detail on each mode and setting, but it would take too long. There's even a photography guide with tips on how to take better pictures. The camera can be customized, including sound.I shoot mostly flowers, animals and nature. The quality of the photos is great, but the camera doesn't always capture some colors well. For example, the red color (lipstick, flowers) in photos looks different than in reality, shades are lost, and the color itself becomes "backlit" and monotonous.

Video quality is average, but it is much inferior to the quality of photos. The sound quality on video is even lower than the image quality, and almost nothing can be heard.Besides, the disadvantages include the fact that if you stay outdoors for a long time in subzero temperatures, the device starts to work unstably and resets the date settings when you turn it on, requiring re-entry.The less light, the worse the quality of photos. You can increase the ISO value, but then the photos will have a lot of noise. Therefore, you have to use special lamps to get good quality photos or shoot outdoors or near a window. Photos taken outdoors in sunny weather or near a window on the sunny side are of better quality and brightness.

Macro photography doesn't always focus accurately, especially on small details, and sometimes it takes effort to get a good result. I had to take over 100 photos to get the following shot. This is probably the only drawback I can name with this unit. Other than that, I am satisfied with it. I don't plan on changing the unit in the near future and will gladly continue to use it. For the price, this unit is quite decent. It is suitable for amateur shooting.

The camera is excellent for its price! I have been using it for almost five years, I bought it in DNS, there was the most adequate price and, of course, the Samsung brand. In August 2010 it cost about 3300 rubles, and for this money I got: an excellent camera with a good flash, which makes clear pictures in clear and cloudy weather, and night shooting slightly deteriorates the quality; zoom is not bad, when zooming in, the quality of photos almost does not decrease; its own battery, which is enough for a week of active use, a lot of different shooting modes and video (macro, landscape, snow, etc.). Of the disadvantages can be noted only not the best quality of photos at night and average quality of video recording, when when zooming in for a second the sound disappears. But for a camera for 3000 rubles it is forgivable. I recommend it, I think it is one of the best cameras for this price.
