A high-quality matrix with high photosensitivity in poor lighting, we get frames with a small amount of noise. Quite a decent dynamic range for Canon. 100% viewfinder coverage and a convenient upper monochrome screen with settings.

Disadvantages of Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Body:

EF-only lenses are quite expensive, especially for L-class professionals. Fixed screen, not convenient enough for filming in difficult conditions. There are not enough autofocus points for a camera with such a price range. There is no built-in flash, sometimes it is needed in work.

Conclusions: excellent camera, very convenient to work with, but rather for the pros. For amateurs, I don't see the point in overpaying with the loss of basic amenities, for example - in the form of a rotary screen and a built-in flash.

I have quite a lot of experience in photography, and I have tried various models of Canon cameras, from the simplest to the latest models. Of all the models, I was simply delighted with the Canon EOS 5D Mark 4 camera.

The price of this camera for 2016 in St. Petersburg is 250,000 money. For this price, you can buy a supported car, but this camera is suitable for those who are professionally engaged in photography, and the camera in such hands pays off very quickly if there are orders!

The weight of the camera is 800 grams. I like to hang it not on my neck, but on my side, it's much more convenient, and the neck does not hurt for the whole day of shooting. Canon EOS 5D Mark 4 is the camera of my dreams, I will tell you about its advantages, which I saw for myself. I have available lenses Canon 16-35 mm L, Canon 35 mm 1/4 L, Canon 50 mm 1/2 L, Canon 85 mm 1/2 L. The quality of photos depends very much on the lenses, although with the Canon eos 5d mark iv camera, in general, with any lens, the quality is gorgeous.

Full Frame gives great opportunities and viewing angle. The speed of photography is 7 frames per second, it is very convenient to shoot reportage shots. At this speed, you can catch interesting photos. For example, a squirrel in the forest that jumped at breakneck speed.

For those who shoot videos, I want to note that there is a microphone output and a tracking autofocus, a second screen.
The photo format is 3 JPG and RAW. In RAW, photos are stretched just wonderfully, the camera's possibilities are endless.

To sum up, the Canon eos 5D Mark iv is simply magical, but the price is still overpriced in Russia. Every photographer wants to see high-quality photos, but alas, not everyone can afford to spend such money on a camera. Exceptions are those who have a large number of orders!

The camera is perfect not only for photography, but also for professional video shooting. I advise photographers to also consider a model like the Canon EOS 5D Mark ii, this camera is much cheaper in price, but its quality is not bad, as well as a full frame.

The "fourth nickel", as it is popularly called the Canon 5D Mark IV, is an unattainable dream of many amateur photographers, and just novice photographers who cannot yet put price tags with five zeros for their services.

Unattainable not because of some rarity or exclusivity, but because of the horse price tag - now they ask for no less than $2800 + tax (in the USA) or 180,000 money (in Russia) only for a carcass without a lens. I don't know how it is in Russia now, but in the USA for this amount you can buy a used car.

For this reason, I went to buy my Canon EOS 5D Mark IV Body for a long time, but I never got there: my husband gave me a camera for my wedding anniversary.

At the time of purchase, the camera, including state tax, cost him $ 3,200. And there was no limit to Momem's happiness at that time. But the joy did not last long - I realized that the lenses I have do not fully reveal the capabilities of the new carcass, and I want a couple more new lenses... but this is a story for another review.

The kit includes a very ascetic set: actually, a carcass, a strap, some wires did not even take them out of the package, a disk with standard Canon software, a charger, one battery, instructions.

The case, as before, is made of titanium alloy. I don't plan to hammer nails with a carcass, but it's still nice to realize that if something happens, you can fight off bullies with a camera without being afraid to break it. The upper part is made of plastic, as wireless communication modules are hidden under it. On the right side, under the plugs, there are ports for various wires, as well as for connecting headphones and an external microphone. Since I don't shoot videos and, to be honest, I don't even know how to switch the camera from photo mode to video mode, I opened the plugs for the first time when I photographed the carcass for this review. What a blessing it is that in addition to the insanely expensive and not very common CF cards today, the Four writes to ordinary SD. Naturally, this is not the first Canon model with a similar combination of memory cards, but as the owner of the Two, I suffered from the fact that it was possible to shoot only on CF. The camera power button has also changed - it moved to the upper left part of the camera, to the wheel with modes. The battery has become a little more capacious, but at the same time the batteries from the second camera work wonderfully with a Quarter and vice versa.

Although now I don't know if I need a turn signal when there is WiFi in the camera?

Previously, it seemed to me that WiFi in the camera is a completely useless function aimed at simply increasing the cost of the camera. I couldn't understand why he was needed there at all, because I don't plan to immediately upload photos to Instagram or give raw frames without processing to clients immediately after the photo shoot. Well, I admit, I was very much mistaken. WiFi in the camera is an insanely useful thing.

First, I can control the camera from my phone using Canon's CameraConnect app. Do you think that in these photos I do not let the phone out of my hands solely out of great love for Apple products. Secondly, in addition to controlling the camera, I can immediately download photos from the application to my smartphone, quickly process them in the same mobile Photoshop, Snapside or Lightroom, and please customers in a couple of minutes or even during a photo shoot.

What not to say - but convenient. As with all professional cameras, in the Four you will not find preset modes like "Portrait", "Macro", "Night shooting", etc.

But cameras of this class are not bought by fans of pressing a single button.

Although, in fully automatic mode, the camera shoots very well.

Here, for example, a couple of photos taken by her husband, who has never been a photographer. As for me, the photos look very decent, although the plot does not pretend to be particularly artistic.

The four adequately cope with the realism of color rendering and the definition of white balance, but if you want to guarantee to convey the color of something in the photo without distortion, the balance must be set on a gray card or at least a white sheet. A DSLR is not a panacea, no matter what level it is, and with flowers it can only lie like that. For example, when I took a photo for a review in the yard surrounded by trees, my skin was a pleasant green shade, which then had to be cleaned in Photoshop.

For obvious reasons, I can't put client photos in the review, but I think it's clear from these frames that the camera is a beast. Of course, a lot depends on the lens.

If you buy 4 Stamps, but at the same time you will shoot at half a meter 1.8 - do not expect that the photographs will look the same as when shooting with 4 Stamps, but already with half a meter 1.2, even at the same aperture.

Therefore, investing in a good carcass, be ready to fork out for good optics.

I already had a 70-200 2.8 lens, and now there are 50 mm 1.2 and 135 mm 2.0. In total, the cost is almost like a carcass.

Another feature of the camera is the Dual Pixel RAW technology, which allows you to move the focus on an already taken photo. Sounds cool, of course. But she didn't inspire me. In order for the function to work, the photo must be taken in RAW, with ISO no higher than 1600. And everything would be fine, but she works only with her native Kananov photo editor, and not with Photoshop. And the program is very slow and barely works even on nimble machines. For this reason, I do not use this bun.

Summing up, I can say that the Canon 5D Mark IV did not disappoint me. I do not regret the money spent (although it is a gift, but from the general family budget).

Does everyone need this camera? No. Especially if you shoot for your own pleasure and it does not bring you money.

Well, if photography is more than a hobby for you, then it is worthy of your attention. The main thing is that the camera does not lie down, but works, then the cost will rebound quickly.

And if you are just switching to a full frame with a crop, keep in mind that shooting a full frame is not a cheap pleasure, especially in terms of optics.

For me personally, the camera has only one drawback - the price. But on the other hand, this way photographers have a chance to compete with those who buy expensive photo toys and press one button.
