Nikon Coolpix S8200 camera operation review

Nikon Coolpix S8200 camera review
Nikon Coolpix S8200 camera review

All the advantages of the technique pale in comparison with one big minus, for one year this camera 3 times stopped charging, there was no charge, and light indication of connection to the network.

Three times the board was changed and the firmware was re-flashed. Factory defect was not recognized. Once again came from the repair with a fully planted battery and still does not take a charge, although this time the indication is. In general, I do not recommend this model, you can get in trouble, while repairs are free under warranty, you can somehow put up with it, but when the warranty is over it will be cheaper to buy something else.

I always take Nikon Coolpix S8200 with me. I didn't pay much attention to the camera until I took part in a professional photo shoot. I wanted to buy a good one for myself, but everything started to bump into money. It was not profitable to buy a professional DSLR and shoot only for my family, and I can't take pictures to earn money yet (I recently gave birth to my second child). After a long search, my husband gave me Nikon S8200, the closest to the DSLR, as explained by experts in this case. Immediately saw the difference in the quality of photos compared to digital soapboxes. Discomfort was the flash, which pops up right under your finger, but after a few days of shooting did not notice. By the way, the video quality is top notch. Love to use it for macro photography, the photos are excellent.

Nikon Coolpix S8200 is beautiful, functional and good zoom. In the summer before a trip to the South decided to buy a new camera, we chose for a long time. We decided to stop on Nikon 8200. This camera has both pros and cons.

Pros:

- 14x excellent zoom. Sailing on a boat on the Big Yalta it was very convenient to zoom in on objects on the shore, and the photos were not bad quality.
- large 3' screen. It is convenient to view photos. The screen without distortion. does not glare when turning.
- HD video of very decent quality. We did not need a video camera in the South.
- Lots of shooting modes, including panoramic shooting
- works fast
- Lightweight, compact, looks big but is actually very oversized
- Good battery, enough for about 300-400 photos without flash.
- Good macro
- Not bad photos on the street, nature.
- A lot of special effects, fisheye for example.

Minuses:

- "popping" flash, always out of time and interferes with holding the camera, bad and that is retracted back only when turned off
- Takes a long time to charge.
- Warns of discharge in 2 seconds. And then until you recharge, you can not turn on.
- Indoors, the photo is very poor quality, what modes I did not put only.
- At night photos are also very bad
- There is distortion at the edges
- A lot of noise.

I believe that a camera should be evaluated first and foremost on the main feature - photo quality. This model Nikon Coolpix S8200 is hardly suitable for demanding buyers who are interested in excellent photo quality. You can't achieve such quality with this camera. I have tried everything possible, photos in different modes, in different lighting, for a year of use - not a single photo that I could be completely satisfied with. The pictures are of average quality. Not too bad, but not great either. Not even good. The pictures are fuzzy, as if slightly blurred. When shooting in motion, the photo does not turn out, loses the contour at all. The best photos are obtained with a flash, but they are some lighted, the true colors of objects change, the pictures are not natural, there is a glare. I give you a photo, this is the best that Nikon Coolpix S8200 can do. Shark photo is made in different modes, with flash and without, with macro and without. These photos will tell you everything without words. All the photos in my reviews are also made with it. If I had known in advance, I would not have bought this particular model. Among the pluses can be noted normal video, good zoom, lightness, compactness, but, agree, not so important compared to so-so photos.

Excellent camera for its price, Japanese quality. I have been using this camera for a long time - about 5 years ago. When buying did not think for a long time, as in the manufacturer Nikon sure, we know about the Japanese quality firsthand. I honestly can't remember the price, so I won't lie. Appearance is not particularly different from the others. The camera is equipped with a retractable lens, which has a range of focal lengths of 25-350 mm, that is, it is a 14-fold optical zoom. This alone suggests that the device can take a place in a tourist backpack or vacation suitcase. The device has a three-inch display. The screen is bright, color reproduction is excellent, it almost does not glare in the sun. And the resolution is incredibly high - 921600 pixels. In a word, even owners of modern smartphones will be happy with such a screen. Of course, in today's mobile devices, the display often reaches a five-inch diagonal. But, believe me, at three inches, the subject can also be seen in detail. Especially at such a high resolution. On the body of the camera there are standard AV- and USB-connectors, as well as modern HDMI. That is, thanks to this picture or video can be displayed on a monitor or TV.

My impressions. The camera is very satisfied with the camera, for all the time of use has never failed, did not break, did not glitch. Photo quality is excellent, which is necessary for an amateur. Easy enough to customize, there are no fiddles. Simple and easy to use.

Nikon Coolpix S8200 is a great budget option with tons of features! I love compact things!!! Carry it in my purse discreetly and it allows me not to miss important and meaningful, sometimes funny and interesting moments in life. It is certainly cool to have a professional camera, but it is not for me. Agree - you shake over it, that it didn't fall, didn't break, that children didn't take it and it didn't fall into "crooked" hands. You put it far away and higher, and at the right moment it is not at hand. Or another example - at the matinee at the child ran around the hall photographer with his professional camera, and in the end we see blurry, unclear photos where one closed his eyes, one turned away. The photos on an amateur camera were much better. Before Nikon I had another digital, which made very even not bad photos with one function. But the model was so outdated that it was a shame to take it out of the bag and it was on batteries, and they also failed us many times. We had to have two pairs with us. So I decided that my next one would be battery operated only. The camera is 14 m/pixel. The photos are high quality and take from 5 mb. To be honest, sometimes you need a smaller volume, even on this site, and I do not know how to reduce. Or rather, I know that I need to cut, but I'm lazy and do not put it up. I need at least 16gb of flash memory. I have almost never filled it completely, and video shooting is enough for 1 hour of continuous use. There are tons of features, I won't list them. I mostly use the AUTO function. I enlarge and crop photos only after. The quality does not suffer from this. The minus is the flash popping out from under your finger. It is difficult to get used to, I constantly forget myself, and when you give others to take a picture, then necessarily make a second photo. Only because of this the quality of the photo is reduced.
