Nikon D3500 SLR camera review and operation

Nikon D3500 is suitable for a beginner. Hello everyone I have been interested in photography for five years, at first I took pictures with a regular soap dish, and then I decided to buy a SLR camera.

My choice fell on the Canon D 3500 kit. I bought it fotoloid.ru , it was the latest model in the store, so there was a discount on it, without it it was quite expensive.

The native lens focuses quickly, nothing is buggy. There is a built-in stabilization. The focal length of the lens is 18-55 mm, however, he is not strong in shooting at night, so over time I bought him a high-power lens, because I often have to shoot with poor lighting. At ISO 1600, the camera is already starting to make a lot of noise.

There are also several shooting modes, including story modes.

1. Auto
2. Without flash
3. Portrait
4. Movement
5. Macro
6. Night mode
7. With aperture priority - A (the user sets only the aperture value)
8. With shutter priority - S (the user sets only the shutter speed value)
9. Program automatic mode - P (the camera does everything for you)
10. Manual - M (where the user sets the values himself, I usually use it)

Also from the advantages I can highlight the fact that he has a free app in the play store, with which you can transfer photos to your phone via Bluetooth, which I often do. In conclusion, I want to say that if you are just starting to get interested in photography, then this camera is what you need.

I recommend buying it!

A great camera for an amateur. But there is one huge disadvantage.

I bought this camera more for myself, I did not plan to study professional photography, but it so happened that over time I was asked to do a photo shoot. Since I'm not a pro, I took money only for the time spent and processing, that is, quite a penny of 500-800 money.

Then a friend got a studio, and I have access to photo shoots. The use of the loft studio is practically free of charge, there is a permanent prof.light, etc. And then I thought that since there are so many opportunities, I just have to unlearn! And at least understand the setup of your camera!

I signed up for a street master class, photographed children with animals in the forest. And the main feature of this photo shoot as a study for photographers is setting up your camera. And then I realized why sometimes 2 absolutely identical photos from the same angle and taken with a difference of 2 seconds, I get completely different light. One photo is dark and the other is light. It really upset me, I didn't understand why this was happening. The teachers looked at my camera. And they made such a verdict:

In this camera, ISO walks even with manual adjustment. Experienced photographers tried to figure out what was going on, rummaged through all the settings, but did not find a single clue why. Apparently, this is a feature of the camera. A very sad feature.

If there are those here who have faced such a problem and know what is the matter, please write in the comments. But there is a clear feeling that the manufacturers did this on purpose, because the camera in its standard assembly clearly does not pull on a professional camera for photographers. Very weak simple lens 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G. At the same time, its cost is not much lower than professional cameras. Together with the bag, it cost me 29,000 rubles at the beginning of 2020. I bought it in M-Video.

Actually, I wanted to buy a new lens, but now I probably have to completely change the camera.

In general, the Nikon D3500 is very convenient, lightweight, quick to think. I like him if I go somewhere with him and take pictures for myself! Convenient and understandable, what else can I say.

Therefore, I recommend this camera, but only for amateur shooting!

Nikon D3500 is an excellent camera for both a beginner and a professional who has a limited budget.

This camera is my second DSLR, which I use not so long ago (a couple of months at most). I chose it for a long time, because I already understood what I wanted from a SLR camera. I wanted a high ISO (to be able to shoot in low light) and the possibility of video shooting in the camera. It's all present here. For a long time, I really figured out how to start video shooting, and as it turned out, shooting can only be done in LiveView mode, i.e. when the image is transferred to the screen. After you have switched to this mode (on the camera it is a latch with the letters Lv), press the button with the red dot, and happiness - Your shooting has begun. After the Nikon D60, the number of focus points is not very familiar (there are significantly more of them here compared to the camera, in which there are only three). The photos are bright and high-quality. But do not forget that a lot still depends on the lens. Because my first lens was a standard Kitovsky 18-55, which did not work for a relatively long time (it crumbled into an earpiece after a short shoot in cold weather), I decided to take this time a fixed Nikkor 35mm portrait camera with autofocus. In total, I got a set of exactly what I wanted: a Nikon D3500 + Nikkor 35mm VR camera carcass. I compared this camera with the Nikon d5600. The difference in price is relatively significant at several thousand, and I hardly noticed any differences in the characteristics. The only significant difference is in the Nikon d5600 rotary display and some connectors and video shooting settings. But because it didn't matter to me, I decided to save money and take a Nikon D3500 camera, which allowed me to buy a good portrait lens for this camera for the same price.

Let's agree right away, I approach the review from an emotional point of view, boy reviews with characteristics and other garbage that prevents you from choosing look elsewhere. Well, there will be no 100500 photos of the camera here, it is no different from the images on the official website. All photos below without processing and retouching. Personally, it really bothered me, the differences in numbers are usually minimal, you start reading the review, and everyone writes that the camera is not as good as in the description and it's better to choose a carcass from 100k, well, are you kidding? This is not my budget, I'm not going to take a loan for a camera, suddenly I don't plan to make a living photographing, but just want a convenient device for traveling. I want to take high-quality photos and at the same time not go broke completely! And such reviews are within the same company, but of different lines. Going to the nearest store and twirling the necessary cameras in the hands of nikon d3500 seemed the most convenient to handle and liked the interface. And now, after a while, I want to say that I am completely satisfied with the choice. The camera copes with different lighting, portraits, macro and landscapes come out excellent. Macro pleases with beautiful bokeh. Native lens, it feels weak, I already lack its capabilities, I hope to get another one soon. But at the initial stages, especially for beginners, this is quite enough. So I definitely recommend the camera to beginners! When choosing, I advise you to go to the store and feel the cameras, do not listen to consultants, listen to your own feelings and choose what you like. And if you need a kick from above, like me, here it is! Buy a great camera!

Nikon D3500 Kit 18-55 VR AF-P is the best amateur camera within 30 thousand dollars. The best camera for its price, I've been looking for a few days, but I haven't found an alternative for such a price tag. The best camera for its price, I've been looking for a few days, but I haven't found an alternative for such a price tag. I bought this DSLR six months ago and during this time I have never regretted that I chose the Nikon D3500 Kit. The camera is suitable for beginners and amateurs, because there is a guide and a simple interface, as well as all kinds of shooting modes and effects right in the camera. It fits very comfortably in your hand, we worked well on ergonomics. It has excellent focus and auto stabilizer. I use a regular lens because it's very good and I don't need an extra one. Equipped with a usable flash. The battery is enough for 1000 pictures, or even more, provided that you take all the pictures in one day. Light weight, you can carry it with you every day. Bluetooth 4 and an Android/iOS remote control app have also been added, with which you can transfer files to your phone. But still there is one weakness in the case, namely a fragile battery cover and I didn't notice any more flaws.
