Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S5000 for such a price is just a godsend!

This is the second digital camera in my life. The first one was taken 5 years ago from cheap, there were only 7 megapixels with something, it was heavy, voluminous and in the end it started having problems (the lens stopped moving out). The workshop requested 1000 rubles for disassembly and cleaning of the mechanism. I thought about it and realized that it is more profitable to buy a new one. And so I settled on this model - Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S5000. Why?

I compared the parameters in Yandex.Market, and here I found such advantages: The first and most significant: low price. Approximately the same characteristics of other models are much more expensive. The second argument: compactness, low weight (only 170 grams with batteries together). Agree, the photo accessory should easily fit even in a lady's purse? Do not stick out and do not stick out your sides. And this one will fit even in a clutch and a raincoat pocket.

I am not a master of photography, but even then I felt that the old camera was too primitive for me. In this I found everything I needed and even more:

- 3 modes (switchable by a separate button): photo, panoramic photo, video.

- special effects system ("cheap camera", "color selection", "black and white pictures", etc.). can recognize a smile.

- built-in software for processing photos on a PC (remove red eyes, crop, resize).

- possibility of manual settings of shutter speed and diffraction.

- different modes of photographing: macro photography; night scene and so on.

- the main thing is the intelligent auto-shooting system (the camera chooses the optimal mode itself).

Well, purely subjective: the camera is very pleasant to hold in your hands and use. The buttons are super comfortable. The menu is superintuitive. The shutter button is good. The lens works silently. The viewing screen is excellent, large enough. The photos are clear, with natural color reproduction. I use it for the third day) so there is still a lot of joy ahead from shooting with this camera. I recommend it to beginners and those who appreciate the compactness + reasonableness of the camera.

I think I bought this camera for nothing. And also, a comparison of Sony and Samsung photos. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S5000 I bought by accident, or rather, on purpose. I needed a camera, urgently, right now, and I bought the one I had enough money for. I treated Sony very well, I have a large Sony-Alpha camera, which I really like (Sony Alpha DSLR-A290).

But the "soap dish" disappointed me completely. If you compare with Samsung (Samsung ES30), then Sony is just a child's toy. Although, it seems, the characteristics are similar. I even thought that Sony would be better, because newer, Samsung is still so many years old, and Sony was bought in May.

I will say this, out of 100 photos of Samsung, I delete 5-10 photos, and with Sony, out of 500 photos from the south, I left maybe 100 photos that are more or less, and not super-super.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S5000 Specifications:

* matrix of 14.1 megapixels (1/2.3")
* shooting video with a resolution up to 640x480
* 5x optical magnification (you can forget about butterfly flies, one photo out of 10 is obtained)
* 2.7" screen
* macro mode
* the weight of the camera is 172 grams (light as a toy, plastic is cheap).
* AA batteries or accumulators.

The biggest cons for me:

1. A lot of blurry photos.
2. When approaching, when trying to take a macro, 99% percent of the cases that you will not succeed, you need to take a couple of dozen photos so that at least something happens that looks like a "macro".
3. Photos in motion, in the dark - I have not seen worse.

Recommend it? No.

Hello everyone, I bought this camera honestly for the fact that it cost me very cheap, I am generally satisfied with the camera, but there are also disadvantages, but let's start with the pros.

1. Its compactness, does not get in the way in your pocket, in your bag!
2. Its huge plus is that it is battery-powered, not battery-powered, I went and then the battery sat down, and I bought the batteries, threw out the old ones, if you really want batteries, buy them (everything will be cheaper and more practical).
3. This, of course, is its cost, there are no comments here.
4. Simple menu and camera settings, which is not a little important.
5. Since it's not expensive, it's not so sorry!
6. It's a good screen!

Well, let's move on to its shortcomings.

1. In poor lighting, the picture is not very good!
2. Not very, but still - the case is rubbed, although it always lies in the case.

But in the end 2000, I don't think that these minuses need to pay minuses, Well, really the price is ridiculous. I liked the camera. It's SONY.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S5000 is a great little camera. A great soap dish used to always take it with me on hikes and trips out of town. But then a new generation of photographic products appeared and she looked less stable against those . but as an option, I advise a clear and simple interface, it is very durable and broadcasted every hour, even a very good and relevant option, in general, only good impressions with it.
