Review of the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 camera

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 is a great camera at home with a child! The need for digitalization arose when the child was born.

While I was little, we took a mirror from friends. But the older the child got, the more new and interesting moments I wanted to capture. Considering that one phone was already broken and the second was being flashed (the son was drooling), we decided to buy something stronger. In general, having studied all the options offered in the store, the husband stopped at this. He is resistant to shocks (he has already tested his son), resistant to water (he spilled water on his son). We haven't tried shooting underwater yet, but we will definitely try this summer. And so really strong. From the impact, only slightly barely noticeable scratched, and the water did not affect the performance at all. As for the quality of the photo. Of course not a DSLR. But I didn't need to. The photos are clear and bright. I often photograph a child in motion - it does not blur. A lot of all kinds of functions. For certain purposes, you can choose the right one. But I have an "intelligent auto mode" and I have enough. No red eyes. And if they do turn out (very rarely), then there is a red-eye removal function. And in general, elementary editing can be done directly on digital. The digital is compact. It is convenient to take with you to the street. When you run after a child, nothing gets in the way. I think in the future we will still take a mirror. But while the child is small, I do not know the best option! Convenient, high-quality, wonderful photos for the "soap dish". Well, the price is adequate. Corresponds to the price-quality. After a trip to the sea, I will add impressions and new photos to the review.

We purchased this device in August 2012 before the birth of the baby. I wanted a high-quality camera with HD video support. The choice fell on SONY TX 10. This camera is waterproof and shockproof, I haven't immersed it in water yet, it's scary. In daylight, in nature, the photos are simply awesome, the colors are bright, clear, like a postcard. I wanted to take a photo without a flash at home, of course not a fountain, it can be smeared and there are noises in the photo that the camera blurs like "watercolor". but I got out of the situation, I turn on the light, the lamp on the wall, in general, I do it brightly in the room and photograph my daughter without a flash, very natural photos are obtained. For example, here is a photo taken without a flash, twilight mode with hands. The video is also of good quality, the sound is good, only the colors are not very bright, but not the essence! Another of the advantages I would like to note is compactness, ease of use, the lid smoothly slides off and the device turns on at the same time and also turns off when closed. The stylus in the kit is convenient, I hung it on a string. Now about the disadvantages. Sometimes the sensor is stupid, it even pisses me off, you poke, and he just died. It's inconvenient to scroll through the menu. First, unaccustomed finger gets into the lens. Well, sometimes there are big noises in the photo if you do it without a flash. In principle, this is not a super expensive mirror camera, but I was a little upset. I love photos without flash, they are more voluminous and as alive.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 is convenient and good. My husband gave it to me for my birthday, and I was happy because I really wanted it. The camera is very compact just for my little baby hands. It is very convenient to carry it with you everywhere and everywhere. I wanted a touch camera, but the sadness is that the sensor is blunt at times. Photos are very high-quality, I used video shooting only once - the quality was also very pleased)the number of effective pixels is 16.2 million.

I am also very pleased with a good focus and its capture. The flash is customizable and very bright with the right settings (there is a red-eye suppression function). And it also has a very bright 3-inch display with accurate color reproduction. The case is matte, pleasant to the touch and comfortable. The lens cap slides smoothly away and is accompanied by the camera turning on. It has a "Smile Shutter" indicator. Convenient wide shutter button. A separate button for quick start of video shooting and a convenient zoom lever. I'm delighted with him. For daily amateur shooting and, of course, on vacation, we will not replace it and I repeat again, it is very convenient and compact!

I really like to travel and take pictures. At an amateur level, but with maximum quality. Every vacation trip or just a trip to an exhibition or to the park always turns into photo and video sessions. I like to mount clips after that, putting music on them, so I approached the choice of the camera for a long time and carefully. Before that, I always took the old Olympus from my parents, so the main selection criteria were - lightness, compactness and, most importantly, not the worst quality of photos and videos. Since I got acquainted with Cyber Shots in the mobile phone version, I have been personally familiar with the xenon flash for a long time. Xenon flash is considered quite expensive and powerful. Because of the high cost, they do not like to put it in mobile phones, but the photos that are obtained with its help in the dark are pleasantly surprising. My old Sony Ericsson Cyber Shot K790i with a 3.2MP camera gave out such photos that it was just a miracle, so when searching for a camera, the choice immediately fell on the same series. I have been using the camera for a year, it, like everyone else, has its advantages and disadvantages.

Dignities:

- very compact, fits well in my small hand, people really often take it by sight for a mobile phone

- light enough, especially after Olympus, which, because of its size and gravity, was constantly hanging out and pulling down my dead neck (in my chicken hands, it was difficult to carry this weight at all and inconvenient because of the dimensions

- I set up the menu quickly, practically without looking into the instructions (I turned to the instructions a couple of times), everything is quite clear and accessible to the ordinary layman

- shockproof, waterproof, dustproof and frost-resistant housing, for me it was also important, since no one is immune from falling and hitting, and photo shoots in the cold, when the battery dies instantly, were also not canceled, to be honest, I did not dare to put it in the water, they write, of course, one thing, but what- it's a little scary, I didn't take any chances

- I repeat myself once again and return to the flash - for me, a powerful xenon flash is everything, so I'm not disappointed, although there is a cheaper cyber shot model, fewer pixels, but the flash range is longer

- well, the most important thing is that the quality of photos and videos is very, very impressive, there are a lot of different modes for photos, I use them with pleasure and change them depending on the shooting conditions, I don't put the best quality (16.2mp) on the photo, because I don't see the point, the photos are already good, and this resolution makes it heavier photos, they eat up memory, charging and run longer when viewed on computers.

And now about the unpleasant, that is, about the disadvantages:

- the touch screen, they frankly infuriate me, whether it's a mobile phone, a camera or something else, it blunts from time to time, sometimes it does not respond to pressing with a finger, you have to use the stylus, which is attached on a shoelace, always at your side, sometimes when opened, the inscription immediately pops up that when used under water, only after clicking OK is removed and you can click, annoying, but I'm used to it, everything else suits me too much

- the camera, in my opinion, is unhurried, even slow for me, I like all actions to happen immediately and quickly, but I got used to it, adjusted, it's okay, especially since there is a snapshot mode for objects in motion

- the battery is discharged very quickly, everyone writes about it, I read about it in other people's reviews, so if you like to take a lot of pictures at a time, as well as shoot videos, then immediately buy a second one, charge it and always keep it with you so that you can recharge it right away, I'm on a one-day extensive sightseeing trip 2 there is enough charging, after each shot I try to close the lens - this saves the battery, when resting in 10-20 minutes between shots, the battery self-recharges, but if the camera lies for several days and is not used, then the battery is completely discharged, so you need to take care of charging in advance, this fact does not bother me

- many people consider it a disadvantage that the batteries are charged only through the camera, that is, at this moment you will not use it, it does not bother me, I charge both batteries in the evening, and in the morning I go into battle, towards new impressions

- photos and videos are imported to the computer using the PMB program, without installing it on the memory card, the video is not displayed, everything is on your computer, you like the program, but it can be problematic to view it on someone else's computer

- for some reason, some do not understand the system of opening the lens cap, it just needs to be moved down with my fingers, I did not have such problems as my mother and friend, so this fact caused surprise, I can't call it a disadvantage

And I also want to note that the memory card for this model is more than 16 gigs, I would not recommend that it does not vis. I have just such a one. And keep in mind that when filling the memory card for more than 13-14 gigs, the camera gives out an inscription every time the lens is opened that the last photo was saved incorrectly, and to save all the data, you need to start recovery, click OK, it restarts and you can click on. This means that it is desirable to clean the camera from unnecessary photos. After the memory is released, the inscription does not fly out. I repeat that I click a lot, and this card is enough for me to travel (more than 350-400 photos + about 50 small videos), and this is taking into account the fact that I repeat one picture 5 times, and then choose one or two of the best ones. In general, I like the camera, I have come to terms with the shortcomings, they are always there and everything. Score 5, I put a four for the touch screen. Well, for the rest: think for yourself, decide for yourself.

Before my vacation, my husband gave me an extraordinary gift - a small pink Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 camera. To be honest, I've been holding my last soap dish in my hands for 17 years. I didn't count on a special photo quality even on land, not to mention photos under water.

Advantages of Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10:

Compact
Comfortable to hold in your hand
Beautiful design
It turns on quickly.
Intuitive interface
Excellent photo and video quality

Cons of Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10:

You can use up to 5 meters
The case is easily scratched by grains of sand

How to take care of Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10:

After use in or near water, the camera must be soaked in water. It is best to leave it there not for 5 minutes, as it is written in the instructions. Sometimes a very small grain of sand can get between the buttons and jam the power button. So it happened with me. It ended with several washings and additional soaking for 4 hours. Once a year, all seals need to be changed. And, of course, when used in water, do not forget to wind the cord on your hand. Otherwise, it may float away.

A friend gave us this camera. My husband likes to go hiking and take pictures. You can't carry an expensive mirror with you, and this one is very convenient for traveling. He is our workhorse, he has repeatedly fallen, and not always on the grass or the ground, but he shoots perfectly! The video is certainly not a fountain, but the photos are wonderful. A simple but succinct menu. It is not difficult to configure.
