Installation Instructions. Battery Information. Use new alkaline batteries of the same manufacturer and type. Do not use any type of battery other than alkaline batteries. Replace both batteries in the following situations: when the red indicator in the viewfinder lights up; when neither indicator lights up after the camera is turned on. According to test results with new batteries, this camera can take about 100 photographs (10 standard film cassettes). Battery performance may degrade at low temperatures, so it is recommended that you warm the batteries before use, for example, by placing them in a pocket of clothing.

Make sure the batteries are installed before installing the film. Avoid direct sunlight when installing film. Do not use instant color film other than FUJI FILM "instax mini". Close the film cover immediately after installing the film; otherwise, the film may be exposed to light. After inserting the film pack and closing its lid, press the shutter button to eject the film box. When all the film is used up, "0" will be displayed on the exposure meter at the rear. Replace with a new roll pack.

Operating Instructions. Power on: Press the power button next to the lens.

Turning the power off: retract the lens. If no operation is performed with the power on for 5 minutes, all lamps turn off and the power saving mode is activated. To restore operation, turn the power off, then turn it on or press the shutter button. Do not take pictures where flash use is prohibited. Do not open the film cover when the film counter shows any number other than "0"; otherwise, the film may be exposed to light.

Tips for taking good photos. Keep your distance: Keep at least 0.6 meters away from the subject. The effective flash range is 0.6 to 2.7 meters. Auto Brightness Detection: The camera will automatically determine the optimal brightness for the shot. Aim the lens at the center of the subject and rotate the dial to point the lens at the subject. Do not cover the flash windows: Do not cover the two small windows next to the flash on the camera, or the camera will not be able to measure brightness correctly. Specifications and Troubleshooting. Hi! Today I want to share my impressions about Fujifilm instax mini 8 Polaroid camera. When I was a kid, I dreamed of having one and now my dream has come true. The pictures taken with this camera are bright and saturated. They remind me of the moments I want to keep in my memory. The process of developing photos is also very interesting: at first you can't see anything on the picture, but gradually the image becomes clearer and brighter. My camera was given to me by my mother, who says she did it as a reward for my success in studies. Although I have long since graduated from high school, this gift still makes me happy and reminds me that dreams come true.

Before buying a camera, it's worth carefully weighing the pros and cons. Don't think, I'm not discouraging you from buying one, especially if you've long dreamed of a Polaroid. Just take into account that the camera itself costs about five thousand rubles, and the cassettes - from five hundred to one thousand two hundred rubles. By the way, on AliExpress you can find cheaper, about two hundred to three hundred rubles. Yesterday I ordered two cartridges, each with ten photos, and paid 860 rubles for everything. When the parcel arrives and I check the quality, I'll be sure to share the link. You will also need batteries, their cost depends on the brand and is about 200-300 rubles. But, believe me, the result will justify all expectations!

Tips for using Polaroid.

Backlighting: The flash is constantly firing, so backlighting may occur. To minimize backlighting, choose an appropriate shooting mode: "house" for artificial light and "sunny" for bright sunlight.

If the first shot is too bright, try moving into the shade or to a less-lit location to avoid backlighting.

Be careful with the cartridges, they are sensitive to light, try not to open the back cover.

Change batteries with the power on when the lens is extended. The manufacturer claims that two AA batteries last for 100 frames.

Greetings to all readers of ayrecommend! I want to share my review about Fujifilm Instax mini 8 camera. I will tell you about some of the pitfalls you may encounter when buying this device.
Let's start with the appearance. The camera has a cute design, it is compact and easy to use. It weighs quite a bit. The viewfinder and the cover for the film cartridge are on the body. Pay attention to two round windows: one shows the presence of the cartridge (there should be a yellow marker), the other - the number of remaining shots. This is done for convenience and to prevent the film from lighting up when the cover is opened.

There is a battery compartment on the right side of the body. The batteries used are standard batteries that last for a long time. There are five shooting modes on the top of the lens. They are easy to use. Indoors it is recommended to choose the "house" mode, and outdoors - "sun". Detailed instructions are available in the user manual. I chose the Instax Mini 8 model over the Instax Mini 9. While the Mini 9 is more popular, it only features a mirror on the lens for selfies. This is not a significant advantage (if I am wrong, please correct me).Since I am not looking to have the most advanced model in the series and overpay, I settled for this option. In addition, their prices vary greatly, the difference is about 1-1,5 thousand rubles on average. The cost depends on the store. The cost of such a camera is about 4-5 thousand rubles. However, you can save money by buying it from hand, since it makes no sense to overpay if you just want to play with it. Some difficulties arose. For example, the discrepancy between the image in the viewfinder and the result obtained in the photo. The lens and viewfinder are shifted to the right. So I focus on the lens when shooting. Also, in the viewfinder, the subject may look larger than it should and appear slightly enlarged in the photo. It is recommended to follow the manufacturer's recommended distance for best results.

Try to light the subjects in the frame evenly. If the sun hits part of the picture and you choose the "bright sun" mode, you will darken the areas that are in shadow, and if you choose the "house" mode, the sunlit areas will be strongly backlit. Unfortunately, the flash can not be turned off, it fires automatically according to the selected mode. I do not advise beginners to photograph nature, first practice your skills on close subjects. My first photo was of falling snow in the afternoon. As a result, the near snowflakes were focused, and the background remained black. I advise you to get a feel for the camera and only then create masterpieces. It is impossible to predict which colors will look brighter in the photo. At home with the light on, all my pictures have a greenish tint, although in sunlight appear saturated colors without tints. Again, just get a feel for the camera. If you notice a beautiful composition and want to capture it, think about how the Instax Mini 8 will perform. Evaluate how the light falls and make sure the flash doesn't block the foreground. Cartridges are expensive. For 10 photos you will pay an average of 550-650 rubles. It is unlikely that you will want to redo the pictures.

Today I want to tell you about my wonderful camera and show you the photos I took with it. Believe me, it is really impressive. It all started two years ago, when this camera became actively advertised. Then I realized that I wanted to buy it. My mom knew about my desire and gave it to me for New Year's Eve! I was so happy that I just jumped for joy.The camera comes with an instruction manual with pictures explaining the process of use. First you need to insert the batteries, then connect the cord (there is a special hole on the side for this) and install the cartridge by opening the lid (all this is described in detail in the manual). After the camera is turned on (the lens is extended and opened), the orange indicator near a certain picture lights up. These images represent shooting modes (sunny day, cloudy weather, shooting under home lighting, etc.). The camera automatically selects the best mode (the indicator lights up next to the desired mode), and all you have to do is turn the dial to the selected picture.

The flash always works, but if the mode is selected correctly, the photos are perfect. So, the camera is turned on, the cartridge is inserted, and the mode is selected. What do we do next? To take a photo, look in the small window and press the small round button. You will hear a click and see a flash. The card will then slide out of the slot. At first it is completely white, but after 10 minutes the photo will show up completely.

I bought a cork board and attached photos to it with buttons. I also added tickets to a concert of my favorite band, Ukrainian hryvnias, notes I received at school on Valentine's Day, passport photos and a bracelet from the first Voronezh paint festival. I hung a blue garland on top. The room became much cozier, and these reminders of happy moments in my life added to its charm. The cartridges are the size of a bank card, the cost of 10 cards is about 500 rubles. It may seem expensive, but I have been ordering them on AliExpress for a long time. You can also find cards with different drawings, they look very cute. You should take into account that the surface of the cartridges is very sensitive, so you should not leave them in direct sunlight, as they are easily scratched.

I bought a pink Instax mini 8 at a promo in Eldorado store in 2017. It cost me 3500 roubles. The kit included: the camera; batteries; a cord for the camera; a cartridge for 10 photo cards; an instruction manual; an album for photo cards. The album was large, so I sold it without using it. Instead I bought a small handy wallet for discount cards and business cards from Fix Price for 50 rubles. Now I don't keep the photos in an album, but give them away to friends and relatives, use them for interior decoration and for other reasons. I used the camera wisely, took pictures only when necessary and carefully studied the instructions before use. I made sure to read reviews before purchasing. Those who have not yet purchased this camera, but want to, should choose responsibly.

This instant print camera reminds me of old American movies, where they used bulky machines to print square photos instantly. The Instax is a smaller and more modern version of the Polaroid. I received this camera as a gift, but I chose the model myself, taking into account its characteristics. The color was the only parameter that was chosen for me, and it was a good choice. Why did I choose this particular model? Firstly, it looks cute and compact, which makes it easy to carry around. Secondly, it has the ability to manually adjust modes, and at the time it offered the most accessories.

Advantages: Perhaps, compared to other similar models in the same price segment, it has more functionality. However, the main advantage is its compactness. For example, if you compare it with Fujifilm Instax Wide or Instax mini hello kitty, the mini clearly wins due to its small size. Moreover, the quality of pictures is the same, although the wide has a slightly larger format.

Disadvantages: Of course, if you compare it to more advanced cameras, it's still pretty basic. It has the most basic of settings without the ability to fine tune. There's no screen, and in fact you don't know what the shot will be like until the very end, and even if the result is not very good, you can't fix it. And this is both a plus, as the frame turns out to be unique, but also a disadvantage, as there are a lot of unsuccessful shots. In addition, despite its small size, this camera is quite heavy. Therefore, not everyone will want to carry it around, especially if you have a heavy bag.

More like yes than no. If I didn't like it, I'd probably stop taking it on trips and buying cartridges for it. But I continue to do so. Yes, it has its drawbacks, and in the end it's still a pretty expensive hobby, but I love the resulting footage. They are essentially one-of-a-kind moments in life, no one else anywhere or has the exact same photo. I try to take it for events that I want to remember and that are particularly important to me. That's probably why I associate it with good memories. Although sometimes there are problems with batteries and cartridges. This camera automatically evaluates exposure, and you can choose one of the modes: shooting in bright sunlight (sunshine), then cloudy, that is shooting in cloudy weather. Bright sun, it just has more rays, this is usually when the sun is opposite the subject or outside on a very nice day. House, for shooting indoors, that is, in low light, and Hi-Key, a mode that adds a kind of fancy and blurred look to the photo by increasing the contrast. To be honest, I've only used it a few times.

Comparing it to other cameras in the same series, it is quite compact, as compact as it can be for an instant print camera. Its dimensions are about 115 x 120 x 70 mm, taking into account the rounded edges, my measurements may be inaccurate. However, its weight is quite noticeable at 320g. This may not seem like much, but it actually weighs the bag down considerably. Especially if you're taking it with you on a trip and your bag is already quite heavy. Weight is one of the parameters I'm not happy with. Looking at the rather thin plastic body, without any kind of drop protection, cushioning or edges, it's scary to imagine what would happen to the camera if you dropped it. Yes, it's all plastic, and you need to handle it with care, because even the cartridge refill cap is very thin, and you need to be extremely careful. The same goes for the lens, as the lens is completely plastic and if you bump it against something, there is a good chance that the lens will stop closing all the way. This camera is definitely not suitable for extreme entertainment and hiking in the mountains, it is very easy to break or damage. Therefore, it is better to buy a case for it, it is at least some protection.

Cartridges: What you need to know. A cartridge is an essential part of your camera, without which it becomes useless. Inside the cartridge are light-sensitive cards on which photos are developed. The cartridge is installed in a special slot on the back of the camera under the cover. For proper installation, you need to align the two yellow stripes. The installation process is quite simple. After installation, you need to take a test shot, press the photo button so that the front protective plate of the cartridge slides out. Now the camera is ready to create photos. The standard cartridge contains 10 frames. There is a window on the camera that shows the number of frames remaining, making it easy to monitor. The cartridges are not heavy. What not to do with the cartridges. Once the cartridge is inserted into the camera and the lid is closed, it cannot be removed back. Light-sensitive frames can be ruined if light gets on them. Be careful with cartridges as they are quite fragile. Avoid dropping or getting them wet. Many people mistakenly believe that after a photo is out, it should be shaken as shown in movies. However, this is incorrect. Gently put the photo down and do not shake it until it is fully exposed, otherwise the image may be blurred.

Activation and operation. After inserting the cartridge and taking a test shot, you can start shooting. The unit is turned on by a protruding button on the lens, which also serves to manually extend the lens. The swiveling lens has mode icons and an indicator to select the mode. The photo button is located on the body, it's round and recessed inside to make it harder to press accidentally. The control is really simple, even a child can cope with it. Note that the viewfinder is displaced relative to the lens, so to get a real frame you need to move it slightly to the right. In other models, the lens is located in the center, so there is no problem of displacement. Variety of colors. Many colors are available: blue, pink, yellow, white, black, grape, and raspberry. I have the blue color, but I also like the raspberry - it's rich and bright. However, in stores there is not such a variety of colors, so the desired shade is better to order online.

The camera is powered by two AA batteries, according to information on the Internet, they are enough for 100 shots. However, to be honest, in the last 6 years I have changed them only once, so it is quite economical in terms of energy consumption. Additional accessories. Among the interesting additional accessories in the lineup is a portable printer that prints any photos in the same format as the camera, making the photos higher quality, although losing their uniqueness. This printer is compatible with various devices and the camera does not play a key role here. You can also buy a selfie lens for this camera, which is an additional bar on the lens with a mirror. In newer models, it is already built in. If you often take selfies with this camera, this accessory will be very useful.

There is actually some real magic going on inside. I'm not good with technical details, but after pressing the snapshot button, a photo slowly emerges from the card tray. At first it is completely white, but don't be alarmed. Wait a bit, gently put the photo down and watch as it starts to show up. At first completely pale, then brighter and brighter. As for the printing time of the photo, the printing itself is fast, only 30 seconds. However, you will have to wait for the photo to fully develop. After about 2 minutes you can see the objects in the frame, and the full manifestation of all colors will take about 15 minutes. So it's not a fast process, and you won't be able to click in all directions in search of the perfect moment. Now about the flash. This is probably the most useless thing here. It is usually turned on in "house" mode, and there is no light from it. Here are some examples of flash photos. Its power is simply not enough, it wastes battery power, and it produces zero results. And now let's talk about cartridges and my indignation. If you calculate the cost of one cartridge, it turns out that one photo will cost you 50 rubles. Now the price is growing, and reaches 70 rubles. If earlier for a month on my hobby I spent about 500 rubles, now it is 700 and more. Yes, it is not so much, but still it is not a large-scale hobby. And I wonder why it is so expensive? Has the technology changed, are the cartridges better? No, it's just that the dollar has gone up and products from Asia are now dependent on it too. So the excuse that it's a hobby for kids doesn't work here, because not every kid can save up for one cartridge for lunch.

Despite some shortcomings, I love my camera and appreciate these small moments. Of course, the price increase is regrettable, but this does not apply to the device itself, which does its job perfectly and has served me faithfully for a long time.
