Sony Alpha 55 camera review

I won't say anything bad about the Sony Alpha 55 camera, but I didn't like that a lot of things were not clear in it. it is in the one with a rotating screen and a translucent mirror.

So- either I can't figure out this camera, or one of two things: a translucent mirror that doesn't move in the process of shooting, it's not entirely clear why at all, because the viewfinder in it is digital, not optical. Although, it focuses quite smartly, the rate of fire is 10 frames per second, but the last shot frame "hangs" in the viewfinder until you press the shutter button, then the picture switches to what the lens sees. There is a sensor under the viewfinder that turns off the LCD screen when you bring the camera to your eyes for sight through the viewfinder. Everything seems to be fast, the stabilizer really works, at a shutter speed of 4 seconds, the picture was almost without smudges, on my camera this is only possible up to 1/20 seconds, then smudges anyway. But the electronic viewfinder is a very incomprehensible thing for me. What is it for?! On the DSLR there should be an optical through the usual pentaprism, which stupidly shows everything that is visible in the lens, without any treatments. And here it seems to be a DSLR with a translucent fixed mirror, then why is it at all?! Well, it's kind of light, the ring finger of the right hand has practically nothing to lean on, I'm not talking about the little finger hanging in the air, I have a feeling from this camera, clearly expressed by V.S. Chernomyrdin: "Neither that was done, nor this was not satisfied, nothing ..."

Although others like the camera, it shoots normally, the whole Internet has already been crawled, in search of a TV set from Konica Minolta 70-210 "Beercap". I'm not agitating anyone for anything, I just want to say once again that choosing a camera is a purely individual process. Here it lay in the man's hand and that's it. And it didn't go to bed for me, that's why the review is so meager.

Sony Alpha 55 for blogger and amateur family photographer, this is your camera! I bought a Sony Alpha 55 camera on occasion, as I got on sale. Basically, I always shot on Canon, but I wanted to try Sony as an experiment. A camera with a translucent mirror, this is one of Sony's experimental models, this is not available from other photo manufacturers! Is it good or bad, the question remains for everyone with their own opinion and I didn't notice anything particularly super. Although 16 Mp. and a crop factor of 1.5 is quite enough for family shooting and blogging work. The photosensitivity of the matrix and the dynamic range are quite consistent with their low cost and it would be simply stupid to expect more.

There are of course pros and cons!

Of the pros: pleasant to look at and light, it fits well in a small hand. The screen is of good quality, working in different planes. The battery is small, but holds a charge in the medium mode. The viewfinder with 100% coverage is very pleasant and pleases the eye at first glance into it! It has a built-in flash and, in general, a good and quite understandable menu.

Cons: the processor loves to think when shooting, which in general is not terrible for non-professional work, which the camera is. But looking at the screen and seeing how she thinks is not too pleasant, especially for those who have already worked on more expensive cameras. The location of the battery compartment along with the flash drive is not too convenient.

An electronic viewfinder, of course, is for an amateur. For household photography, it will be more convenient, since it shows the finished result of the picture, that is, what will then be in the photo after clicking on the start button.

Conclusion: a weak camera processor, this is probably one of the main disadvantages of the camera, the rest is very reasonable for its price. And in general, the camera is pretty good and is well suited for family photography, travel and bloggers' work. So it has a small size, light weight and a convenient screen rotating in different planes!

Sony Alpha 55 is my favorite camera. On my birthday, I begged my husband for this camera. I dreamed of becoming a photographer, and then the courses at the photo school turned up, where, in principle, I was taught to take pictures. I really like the camera - when I saw it, I realized that it was mine. It lies well in the hand, not heavy, even on a whale lens it takes good photos. It is also suitable for those who do not even know how to take pictures, there are 2 auto modes, At night, too, not bad photos come out, but naturally there are noises. And I bought an external flash for night shooting of people, and the pictures are clear, not smeared and there is no noise. Also speaking about night shooting, if you take pictures of landscapes, then a tripod saves here, and the photos turn out to be super high-quality. This camera also shoots video, though no more than 10 minutes, after 10 minutes the camera's overheating blinks on the display and the camera turns off (the only minus that I didn't like). You can also shoot a panorama both horizontal and vertical, and here for some reason I don't always manage to take a photo, then I look too slow, then too fast and the photo doesn't work out to the end. But I probably need to train here. And I also like the 10 frames per second mode, you can take cool pictures in motion.Well, basically everything I wanted to write.
