Hello everyone! In the summer before our vacation, we thought about buying a camera, our old Nikon broke down, and we love to take pictures. They began to choose cameras from the category of budget cameras. And in the fotoloid store we saw this Sony camera. We liked its characteristics and bought it.

This camera has a 20 MP camera and it shoots video in HD quality. The photos are bright and clear on it, the video also shoots very well. The camera itself is small in size, it is convenient to hold in your hands. It fits easily into my purse and it is convenient to walk with it for long distances. There is a screen at the back to view photos on it and manage the menu. All menus are in Russian.

The buttons are ordinary, as on most cameras, and therefore I didn't have to puzzle over how to use them. There is an on/off button on top of the camera.

The lens slides out when turned on. The lens has an eightfold magnification and when magnified, the photos remain of good quality. He also has a good battery, keeps charging for a long time. It charges for about 2 hours.
We were satisfied with our purchase. I recommend this camera.

Yes, in 2019 we still use a separate device for taking photos and videos, in addition to a smartphone. Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 is used only once a year when we go on vacation. That's the reason we bought this camera.

Since we use such a device from case to case, we did not expect to fork out for it. The choice fell on this option probably because of the name Sony, a mastodon in terms of cameras.

However, this copy turned out to be far from as good as we thought.

In general, he copes with his tasks, he takes pictures, he is compact. But how he does it is a separate point.

Let's start with the camera software. There is little in it that is clear, it is some kind of short, it is full of unnecessary items.
Then comes the process of photographing. The process itself is sooo long, after capturing a photo, too much time passes before you are ready to take a new photo. Then the screen itself is not of the best quality. It has very small viewing angles, the colors are inverted at the slightest deviation. I will attribute the working time to the advantages, he lives long enough, of course, if he does not shoot hourly videos, although he writes only 720p videos. I will also attribute the dimensions to the advantages, it is small, light, they picked up a case for it without any problems.

But in the end, I did not like this model, there are more minuses than pluses in it, and the minuses, as for me, are significant, and the price is not small.

Got caught on a night sale and bought - just to buy. We bought a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 camera to shoot children and their important stages and changes as they grow up. Of course, we didn't expect a serious quality result, but we still wanted to have better pictures than on a regular 13 pixel phone, because he has a 20 camera.

Unfortunately, this did not happen with the purchase of this camera. The quality of the pictures is so sad that they often do not pass moderation on the site and in order for the photos to still pass for review, you have to try very hard, carefully choosing the place and choosing the lighting for the photo report.

The advantages include its compactness and the fact that the hand does not get tired during the shooting, even a seven-year-old son easily understands its settings and for this reason alone I do not give the lowest rating.

The video and photo mode is switched with one button.

The battery is discharged pretty quickly, maybe unlucky with the battery, but it holds a charge for less than two hours, if you don't use it for a long time, you can safely charge it, it will be discharged.

I will not bore you with the characteristics that are already full on the Internet. At the time of purchase, the camera cost 5000 money, I know that it has now risen in price by about a third.

So as the first educational camera for children, it will do quite well, for serious photos, look for something better.

I bought this camera a few years ago around 2014-2015, I photograph 80% of the photos with it, the rest on my smartphone.

The main criteria when buying were: brand, reviews, price, dimensions (weight), but the decisive difference was its difference from similar ones in this price range, this is an optical image stabilizer and not digital, like everyone else's - I read about stabilizers - I concluded that optical is better, a big advantage!

I really love macro photography. But this camera often decides how to shoot - focus : does not react, does not focus on the object. I don't bring it too close, I know that there is a minimum distance, but still the resulting pictures are often not satisfied. I chose different modes. In some modes, the "no flash" mode is set by default - you have to manually change it.

In general, the camera is of high quality. The battery does not sit down for a long time. The video shoots in very good quality. And photos of nature, distant objects, as well as photos of people turn out to be very high-quality, saturated colors, I really like everything. The camera itself is lightweight, reliable, comfortable to hold in your hands. The buttons (on and off) are reliable, everything is thought out. Nothing is loose, there have never been any problems.

There is an opportunity to take panoramic photos, it turns out very beautiful! It is convenient to switch between modes: photo, panoramic photo, video. The switch is reliable.
Only it's the unpredictable work that annoys me a little - the stabilization of the optical zoom when shooting objects up close. But not everyone likes to do macro shooting! I give the camera a rating of 5 - only because of the zoom. The device has been showing itself for many years only on the good side, durable.

I got caught in the rain, sand got on it, and at the same time it turned off (the lens moved out-moved), but nothing broke.

Good pictures with this Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 camera will only be taken in bright light.

Since 2010, I have been using a Nikon digital soap dish, everything works fine, the pictures are clear, the macro mode is good, but it will fail someday, so I decided to buy a spare one, especially since I hoped to see some new interesting functions, I thought the cameras became even better, maybe some effects were added. In general, we went to get the price and pick up a model. Sony was praised to us, they just crucified us as if there was nothing better in the world. Yes, there is also a chip - "beauty" is called. Automatically makes the face more beautiful! Even with this setting, even without it, not a single picture of a normal one turned out. Right now the whole mood has fallen. I thought if I carried it back, they might not accept it yet. But they, apparently, understand themselves that 8 thousand money is too high a price for such consumer goods, so they silently took it, returned the money. They didn't get in touch.

Everything that I shot in the apartment - not a single clear photo came out! Yes, the most ordinary phone with a camera takes pictures better! With this camera only to wander around the street?

Here, for example, the picture was taken in a hall where there is normal lighting, everything is perfectly visible, but the camera does not see point-blank. It would be better to order a Kodak soap dish - it's cheap, but it makes such bright pictures!

Life without a camera is hard to imagine nowadays, at least for me. And now I want to tell you about our new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 digital camera. I will begin my review with a small introductory part.

In June 2008, a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-S750 digital camera appeared in our family. Yes, yes, I didn't make a reservation – the first digital camera in our family was a camera with this brand. It was operated very actively and turned out to be of very high quality - it is still alive and functioning. Time took its toll – the camera began to work weaker and periodically capricious. There was a need to buy a new camera – I don't want to be left without memorable photos, sitting in good company, or during a memorable trip.

I will not tire your attention with the story of searching in the shops of the city for a high-quality camera for an adequate price. I will say only one thing – in some stores /for example, the Eldorado retail chain/ I was offered only expensive professional cameras worth more than 20 thousand money. And such a proposal was made with my pension of 13 thousand money. Really, it would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

I was rescued by the DNS store located in the shopping center "Sunday" / Biysk, Mukhacheva , 200/. Here I was helped to choose a digital camera similar to the one already available, but more modern and stronger – Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830. It is such a camera that has become suitable for the photographer / amateur. I will tell you about the service in this store separately. Now I will tell you about the advantages and disadvantages of a more modern Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 camera.

The appearance of the camera has undergone minor changes. It seems to be the same familiar silver-colored case, but small differences are still noticeable. This is how the new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 camera looks like.

If you look closely, it's not difficult to see all the visual difference in Sony's design. The case is similar / only slightly thinner/, the same display, which shows everything that you are going to photograph. There are fewer different buttons – it will not be difficult to deal with them. For me, this fact turned out to be a good plus – the fewer buttons, the easier the operation of the equipment. Well, I will not describe the operation of each button – I did not set such a goal.

Compact camera. Elegant and light. Fits perfectly in the side pocket of a woman's handbag.

The videography of the camera is ordinary – I don't see any point in sanctifying it, since I bought the camera for photographing, not for shooting. I will focus only on the moments I liked. And I will show these moments in comparison with my previous camera:

- availability of instructions in Russian. After all, the specifics of any technique always vary a little. And I always peek into the instructions, supplementing my knowledge with something new. In the photo, the letters were not particularly clear - the pale printing ink is to blame.

- Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 has a matrix resolution of 20.1 mega pixels /the previous one has only 7.2 mega pixels/. The camera is clearly more powerful.

- good quality photos. As an example, I will offer you some photos taken with this camera. Well, make your own conclusion about their quality.

- The new Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W830 camera has an 8x magnification of the object. A clear advantage against the 3x magnification of the old camera.

- delighted with charging the camera. It was necessary to remove the battery from the old camera, put it in a special device, charge it, and then return it to the camera. With the new camera, everything is easy and simple. You connect the cord to a special connector located on the end of the camera, and plug it into an electrical outlet – that's it. Easy and simple.

- I bought a memory card for 1000 photos for the camera – this is very important for me. During the trip, you have to take a lot of pictures for the whole family, so there should be a reserve of free memory.

There are few disadvantages of the camera – perhaps only one: a too flimsy lid covering the inside of the camera with a battery / in the photo, this lid is open.

And I want to grab this part with tape from above ... apparently I will have to do it, because it keeps in Russian speaking - on snot.
And one more thing. The text, of course, can be photographed, but it is not as clear as can be seen in photographs taken with professional cameras.

The country/manufacturer of the camera is hardworking China. Alas, there is not much choice in our region. The price of the camera was about 11 thousand rubles. - not cheap by modern standards. And if you take into account the flimsy details, the camera is not worth it.

Let's summarize. The camera is quite good. A budget option for many Russian families. It is well suited for amateur photography, but professionals need to pay attention to professional equipment.

Not that compact, but almost miniature, fits in the palm of your hand. I have been using it for two years and made the following conclusions:

pluses:

1). Excellent video, high-quality photos (large format and simple photos). Excellent macro photography and excellent shooting in absolute darkness;

7). An eight-fold increase is something fantastic! I mean the lens itself, when it gets longer and longer at such small sizes. It is difficult to shoot at maximum magnification, it turns out vaguely. Maybe if on a tripod, but on the hands is not ideal. Somewhere in the middle of the magnification - the shooting of the object becomes perfect, even better than without magnification.

minuses:

1). The main disadvantage: it is definitely not suitable for shooting children. His intelligent system will set everything up, then all the children will already run away or turn away. You can only take pictures of small kids who are carefully examining the camera lens. Perhaps there is some setting in the camera that allows you to take instant pictures, but there is no time to figure out where and how. Therefore, I regret that my previous camera broke down. That camera in the "Auto" mode took pictures instantly by pressing the "Shoot" button and it didn't matter if it was tuned in or not, the delay was only for charging the flash in the room. And on this camera, children often turn out with their backs or not successfully;

3). There is no viewfinder. It is clear that because of the cheapening and small size. But you have to shoot in bright sunny weather "by touch" (you point the lens at the subject).

My wife and I don't have very high-quality shooting in our phones. We don't see any point in changing phones because of this. Therefore, we decided to buy this camera after the failure of the previous camera. In general, for two years I am happy with him. Although I don't see any point in buying it at all for those who have excellent matrices built into smartphones. I recommend it to those who have not very high-quality photo and video shooting in their phones.

I was given this charm: A SONY Cyber-shot DSC-W830 (Violet) digital camera, after 30 days I checked it inside and out and now I want to tell you my opinion! Its price is 8,500 money, but since we got on the action, it cost us 7,990 money. It's still expensive for our city, nevertheless it's worth it! The quality of the photos is excellent, it suits me quite well, even when I bring the quality not to deteriorate, but of course when at maximum it's hard for him to cope, at night he shoots just as well as during the day!The video shoots, let's say, normally: in the daytime, in the evening, in a room where there is lighting (any), and at night you can say nothing.And all why, because they did not think of doing so that when shooting the flash would turn on, as happens on smartphones.Although it's hard to judge here, we had a city day, I took off the fireworks and concert at night and it turned out great! It was well thought up to make a "beauty effect" function there, you can whiten your teeth, improve your complexion, even out your complexion, remove shine and enlarge your eyes, believe me it's very convenient. Well, in principle, this is the most important thing I wanted to say.Here are more photos of the digital camera itself, it is really compact, fits easily in my hand, I carry it everywhere with me!

In general, for 25 years of his (mom says that a successful existence) I managed to save up for three cameras. The first was a film companion, which (just as I remember now) was purchased at Kodak for !Attention! 750 money (in those days, by the way, it was possible to fill the consumer basket to the brim, and therefore, the amount was quite impressive); the second is the good old Samsung from 2006; the third is a modern Sony. In fact, I would still use the Samsigik if it was in working condition. Last year, 2016, he decided to leave this mortal world almost irrevocably. No, they promised to fix it in the workshop, but they announced a completely inadequate amount for this process, and therefore, I decided to go to a nearby profile store and buy a decent replacement. Looking ahead, I inform you that I didn't read much reviews and chose the technique at random.

The camera came in a branded box, which I kept for almost half a year, and then threw it away along with all the junk, arguing that there are no philistines in my family. The equipment was attached: instructions in Russian and Bourgeois languages, a cord, a battery and a native charger. I like to shoot with a DSLR, but sometimes this kid is simply irreplaceable. On a tourist trip, the most important thing is when there is no desire to carry your "bandura", but you just want to walk light to your heart's content, take pictures for your pleasure. For me, the question "which camera to buy for travel" is solved at the moment. I take this baby with me if I walk for a very long time and shopping is planned. I threw it in my purse and that's it, it doesn't bother me at all, it doesn't burden my shoulder.

The charge holds well, the battery lasts for 2 days of active photo hunting. A good range of focal lengths, allows you to properly compose the frame.

Fast response, quiet operation, a decent choice of settings, including ISO, the presence of a timer, and, surprisingly, a decent Macro mode. It transmits colors wonderfully, does not lather, a really good compact Sony camera. The price, in my opinion, is good. Not a penny, but few people will get into loans, you can give a child such a gift.

Please understand me correctly - of course, with a DSLR, even a sprinkled one, such a camera can not be compared. But sometimes I really want to take pictures and relax normally, without carrying a heavy camera and a couple of lenses. And at the same time get quite good photos that you are not ashamed to show to your friends and post on social networks.
