Sony Alpha SLT-A37 - review

Sony Alpha SLT-A37 - review
Sony Alpha SLT-A37 - review

Sony Alpha SLT-A37 is our first DSLR. Hello, fans of taking pictures and taking pictures. We bought this camera with the money donated to us for the wedding. We decided to invest like this. And you did the right thing!

We really liked the camera. The quality is good. I attach photos taken with Sony A37 camera.

The price is not high, compared to others. The pictures are excellent, you can see for yourself.

The best option for beginners and just amateurs. We did not regret at all that we bought this particular camera. Taking photos with the help of Sonka a37 is easy and simple (there are automatic settings that will do everything themselves). If you want to start taking photos or just going on vacation, I advise and recommend taking this particular camera. You won't regret it.

The Sony Alpha SLT-A37 camera is suitable for everyone and professionals for high-quality digital photography! Also, this camera has a very powerful battery and a 16.5 megapixel camera! The camera has the function of changing the lens, shooting video with a resolution up to 1920x1080 is pretty good! The device is equipped with a flash light that allows you to take photos in the dark, and Sony is also equipped with a timer for shooting, which is very convenient for people who like group photos! The screen is large compared to other digital cameras! According to the results of the characteristics, this camera has good performance, it is more than a good combination of price and quality! In my opinion, it should be purchased!

A high-quality and inexpensive camera. I bought a SLR camera back in 2012 for 14,000 shares. The camera is made of high quality, it fits comfortably in your hand. A very clear and convenient menu that even a child will understand. Of the advantages, I would like to note the fast speed of operation, the battery lasts for at least 500 pictures, shoots excellent video, good autofocus, high picture quality. The disadvantages are not very high-quality screen, inconvenient location of the video button. Ideal for beginners and amateurs. Below are photos taken with an ordinary whale lens 18-55.

Happy with the purchase! I apologize in advance to the professionals and "fumbling" people for my simplicity and maybe not a thorough approach to business. This is my first SLR camera. The choice was easy, as it was made more by circumstances than in the process of a long and painful search. The camera body is made of durable granular plastic, there are rubberized places. It is comfortable to hold in your hand, only the little finger hangs down. Compact. Very clear. It is easy to set it up, in disassembly modes it will not be difficult for someone who has dealt with simple digital devices. Of course, there are modes that require additional knowledge, but it is also not difficult to read on the Internet. The camera is rapid-fire - the process of taking a picture is very fast. The colors are bright and saturated. Soapy-blue-noisy-yellow - I don't know, settings, settings! They say that sony soap is possible. I don't have an eye-a diamond apparently. In general, some are sharp. Translucent mirror technology. "In fact, you don't even have a mirror..." But the same acquaintance after the first picture was impressed by the brightness of the image. Hosting - phantom glare - I didn't really notice, I haven't done night shooting yet. Loss of light by 30% - well, I don't know. The pictures are bright, light enough. So far, the decisive moment for me was the comparison of the Nikon D600 and my translucent Sony. In the process of shooting - again - my - rate of fire. Nikon is slower. But when I saw the quality on the nikon display, I was upset. The image is clear. And on mine... When comparing the results, it turned out that Sony had a very clumsy display, but the picture was clearer and brighter! The Nikon owner agreed.

I've been dreaming about a camera for a long time, and now my dream has finally come true! My parents didn't give it to me for my birthday. Bought in the online store [link]. The kit included 2 lenses kit 18-55 + 55-200 mm. Price 19500 rubles. For a long time I chose between Nikon D3100 Kit and Sony Alpha SLT-A37 Kit. I chose Sony and, it seems to me, I did not lose! The quality of the pictures is excellent! A lot of functions, the menu is clear, it's easy to manage, but it seemed a little heavy to me, so I bought a tripod.

A little bit about the characteristics:

The number of pixels is 16.5 million, crop factor 1.5, maximum resolution 4912 x 3264, CMOS matrix type, sensitivity 100 - 3200 ISO, Auto ISO, ISO6400, ISO12800, ISO25600. There is a matrix cleaning function. White balance is automatic, bracketing, flash, red-eye suppression. The shooting speed is 7 frames/sec, the maximum series of images is 18 for JPEG, 7 for RAW. Frame format (photography) 3:2, 16:9. The viewfinder is electronic, the field of view of the viewfinder is 100%. The screen is 2.70 inches, rotatable. Shutter speed 30 - 1/4000 s, shutter speed X-Sync 1/160 c. Exposure correction +/- 3 EV in 1/3 step increments. There is a focus on the face. The type of memory cards SD, SDHC, SDXC, Memory Stick Pro Duo, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. Image formats 2 JPEG, RAW interfaces USB 2.0, HDMI. The video recording format is AVCHD, MP4, the maximum resolution of the clips is 1920x1080. the maximum frame rate of the video is 50 frames/s, the maximum frame rate when shooting HD video is 50/60 frames/s at a resolution of 1920x1080. The battery is completely satisfied, its charge is enough for 500 photos, it's enough for me. Sometimes it focuses poorly with a 55-200 mm lens, but not often.

A good device, happy with the purchase. Half a year ago I bought a Sony A37 camera. You won't believe it, I've been using film cameras all my life, the latest ones are Zenit-19 and Zenit-122. My photographer friends convinced me to switch to digital technology. I bought the same digital A37. To be honest, I didn't like it very much at first - a bunch of modes, settings, etc., and the output is poor pictures (by my standards). But when I settled on the manual shooting mode, my idea of digital technology completely changed. Everything is like with Zeniths, only the quality is an order of magnitude higher. I bought a lens and a flash - the photo is generally at the professional level. They let me work with CANON Prof., I didn't see much difference in the quality of shooting. I attach a photo in JPEG without processing (I think that you need to take photos so that you don't have to process them). All photos are in their pure form. I am very happy with the purchase.

I like to take pictures and a couple of months ago I decided to take a SLR camera. I took pictures earlier on Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H10. I'm not a professional, I'm still a "teapot", but I chose very carefully: I consulted knowledgeable people, looked through reviews for different models, compared them with each other. As a result, there are two options left: Nikon D3100 and Sony Alpha SLT-A37. I still preferred Sony. This model cost me very cheap, it included a case and a free online photo course worth 3,500 rubles. I am very glad to buy, I recommend it to all amateur beginners. To begin with, this is the best option, in my opinion.

The main advantages in my opinion:

the shooting speed is 7 frames/sec.;
rotary LCD screen;
allows you to shoot panoramas and 3D panoramas;
has stabilization;
great for videography.

Of the disadvantages, I can note: an inconvenient zoom when viewing photos and there is no lace for the lens cap, it can easily be lost.

There are no perfect technical devices, and probably everyone knows this. The Sony Alpha SLT-A37 camera for its money is not just close to perfection, but also, one can say, worthy of being called one of the best in its class.

I have been working with the camera for two years now and I can say that I am satisfied. For me, the minus one is shooting in the dark. Here, unfortunately, the camera cannot satisfy all the author's ideas, for example, if you want to use it for artistic photo shoots at night in poor lighting.

It is worth noting the ergonomics. The camera is convenient to use and over time it will become like a native for you – a logical extension of the hand and you juggle it, you will be able to take pictures even in flight.

Separately, it is worth mentioning about the video. Of course, this is not a professional video camera for crazy money and that is why the picture of the video is amazing. The footage can be safely used even in some semi-professional and professional projects.

I'll start with the fact that I have already had the experience of shooting with SLR cameras. Before that, I shot with a Canon 1100D for 2 years. After there was a feeling of lack of shooting speed and some other functions, I decided to take a new photo. At first I wanted to continue my friendship with Canon, but I listened to the advice of a photographer friend who switched from canon to sonka. I am not one of those who take my word for it, even to good friends, without conducting my own investigation of Smile, so I compared his photos taken by canon and sony. For a long time I collected information on the web, compared tests on various sites and still decided to take sonka, I stopped my choice on the Sony A37 model (or rather, I chose between A37 and A57, but the scales according to the "price / quality" criterion leaned towards the first model). I'll say right away- about my choice, as well as the fact that I said goodbye to Canon, I'll make a reservation right away, this is IMHO, and not the ultimate truth, I don't regret a second.

Advantages of the Sony A37 in comparison with the previous Canon:

-Fast (7k/s, against 3 frames from the previous canon) you will always catch the most "delicious" frame
-Nimble and very accurate autofocus.
-Electronic viewfinder + monitor with LiteView function (convenient, incomparable)
-Easy to use (instructions built into the device)
- Very good video
-Good build quality
-Dimensions/weight/ergonomics!
There are also disadvantages (where without them):
-Jpeg is bad, I advise you to shoot in RAW, and then convert everything to Jpeg in the Lightroom.
-At night to take a high-quality photo, you need to work hard
-In the "serial shooting" mode, the T7 captures not the entire frame, but 70% and the quality of the images decreases.

A good quality of serial shooting is obtained in normal modes with the "continuous broach" function enabled. In our family, we are rating products in the "price/quality" category, and I can say from my experience that Sony A37 is the absolute winner in its price category, leaving competitors far behind.

A camera for a beginner is just great!
A lot of cameras have been in the hands. This sonka was given to me before my trip to Cyprus. One day before departure! Therefore, I had to test on Aphrodite's land. Start. Very light- convenient for traveling. Doesn't pull like weight at all! Putting a big zoom is scary, but this impression is deceptive, everything is holding up fine! Aunt Sonya did her best. In the hand is not very, the impression that it is too small. But for a woman it will be the very thing! EVIE - no comments! Just a miracle. I liked it very much. And somehow I even scolded myself for not paying attention to this type of viewfinder earlier. The screen itself is certainly not super in terms of picture quality. Although everything is very informative and convenient for mode adjustment! It is also convenient because you can change its position! The buttons as a whole are in their places, fingers get used to them instantly. On the 2nd day of use, I did not look for them at all with my eyes, my fingers themselves knew what to press. The battery lasts for the day of shooting! Enough presets! And in general, there are so many settings that with little experience you can make masterpieces. Panoramic photography deserves to be in your photo collection! The video seemed very impressive to me, but I definitely need a remote microphone! The focusing motor can be heard working. Yes, and in general, for a photo, it really, really takes a puff! The camera works with 32GB SD without any problems. In general, the camera is very, very suitable not only for travel but also for everyday life, and as an entry-level camera - in general, it's just super! The photos are very high-quality - but you still need to take into account that the quality, as always, depends on the lens! And also, friends, if you use several lenses - when changing, never try to blow the dust off a translucent mirror with what you have in your lungs! Small particles of saliva fall on the mirror! You can ruin it forever in this way - a replacement will be required!!! Be careful! It's better to just change the lens and keep shooting. And to blow off the dust only with a pear!

Good day, Today we will talk about a camera at a good price. Although I am 13 years old, but I like to take pictures , of course I am not a professional, just an amateur. I spent a long time surfing the Internet in search of a mirror at an affordable price, watched a lot of videos, and my gaze stopped at the SONY A37. In the store, the sellers dissuaded me, saying take a NIKON or CANON. But after a year spent watching videos about Sony, "I've already gotten used to it" and bought it. I like the camera, I didn't find a lot of pros and cons.
Here are examples of photos without Photoshop. I don't know who will like it, don't judge strictly. Posti all photos are made using the effect : P (software) : Fn : creative style : Vlvld.

A very good camera for amateur and novice photographers! Once upon a time, or more precisely in 2013, my friend got a SLR camera and not a simple camera, but a Canon 1100d. How my eyes lit up and my "inner desire" was felt. After a while, I still got a camera, and even though it wasn't the one I wanted, it was a Sony a-37. At first, he just lay there and gathered dust, because "I didn't get that cherished Canon." But once I wanted to try it out and then I rushed. I was glad for every successful shot. All the photos for me were not just photos, but some kind of small victory! At first I took pictures for "thank you, but over time I started taking money for it.

I squeezed everything out of this "baby" 100% with his simple whale object and he never ceases to please me

Here are its advantages:

-the quality of the pictures is at the highest level
-the color reproduction is gorgeous
-video shooting, and on some cameras it is not possible
-it keeps charging for a long time
- it feels good in your hands
-easy to use
-auto modes are very well configured
-good price/quality ratio

For the entire time of use, I did not notice a single minus! In general, as a novice photographer, I am completely and completely, with all my hands and feet "FOR" this camera! He will help you unlock your potential as a photographer, as he helped me do it. And as a gift, it will be good. Have a nice shopping and gorgeous photos!

A SLR camera for novice photographers.
The camera was bought back in 2013 and is now considered an old man on the market. I still remember how I followed Canon, but already in the store they reoriented me to this model from Sony. The seller called the main advantage the ease of learning the functionality: "Ideal for beginners." Is it so?

To be honest, I still haven't learned how to unleash its full potential. In fact, the device was actively used for about two years, and then the whale lens, which was additionally purchased together with the DSLR, began to fall off. Ie, you want to click, and the camera gives out on the screen: "Check the lens."

The main disadvantages of the Sony Alpha SLT-A37 model:

Video noises appear over time.
Night shooting is already outdated, there are new models with better quality.
Fingerprints, nose and other body parts are easily left on the mini-screen.
Intuitively not quite clear.
And the instructions will not help much to understand manual shooting.
Flimsy lens holder and lens caps.
The mini-screen rotates only 90 degrees up and down.
For long hikes, it is heavy like any "mirror".

Advantages of the Sony Alpha SLT-A37 model:

Now you can take Avito cheap as the first device for shooting video content, suitable for novice journalists, bloggers, photographers, many shooting formats with good autofocus, the rotary screen helps to shoot from low or high degrees. Supports FullHD, RAW
there are many original lenses suitable for this model. A strong belt, the ability to connect the microphone directly, the ability to install an additional flash, lighting, microphone.

I purchased this device in November 2013. At first I used a little, at first I understood the functions through trial and error, then the weather let me down. In short, for the first time I really tested it for the New Year. I went with a friend to Uzhgorod (Transcarpathia) to celebrate the New Year. There was no snow at all, as well as the sun, so the photos were not as bright as we would like, but the quality and clarity are super. Now as for the general impression of functions, ergonomics, quality. The camera is small, fits comfortably in your hand, lightweight. This, I think, is one of the advantages of this camera - all functions are used and nothing is overlooked. In addition, the camera allows you to shoot video, with quite good quality! I really like the rotary display, which allows you to shoot from unexpected angles without straining. Of the minuses, the only one can be noted, in my opinion, which can really be a problem. The lens cap is not attached to anything! Honestly, it was weird for me. It's easy to lose it, which I do systematically, it starts to make me angry, so I'm thinking about how to attach it somewhere. But, in general, these are just quibbles. The camera is very good both for beginners and for those who do not like to spend hours digging into an infinite number of functions and settings.

The view of lovers of mountain peaks, lakes, seas. And now the baby's mom. This is the best camera.
I must say right away, we are not professional photographers. But big fans of traveling through mountains and caves. We just need a good camera. I will explain why we chose this one.

The search began. At first, we stopped at all on an expensive digital device. the seller buzzed all ears about its advantages, and that it is better than a DSLR! A weighty argument. Yes, and almost two times smaller and lighter than it. And this, you know, when you climb mountains is very important. Thank God we didn't listen to him! Let's move on. I found this Sonka, intuitively liked it. I don't know why. I called all my friends professional photographers, in one voice they all said: "Sony? Ugh! No way!" My husband and I hung our noses, well...No, it's not. Nikons began to watch. But the choice somehow did not go right away.

Let's go shopping to see everything live. The consultants also claimed that Sonka was "not very" (maybe they needed to make a sales plan for others?...) But I insisted, give it to me in my hands!!! I took it, and immediately he sat down so well. Right there in the store I started taking pictures, twisting, twirling. And I liked it more and more! It is very easy to handle! You can take a lot of photos in a row, and not wait for him to "think". In general, they took it, and they are very happy! See for yourself. All these photos were taken on autopilot.

He has a small drawback. In a poorly lit room, it makes a little "noise", but with a flash it highlights too much. But then you need to take pictures not on the machine, but choose the mode.

In general, we are very happy with the purchase! For home use by non-professionals, it is the best for me! If desired, it can be "tricked out" with other lenses if you pursue other goals (portrait or wide-angle). He takes pictures very clearly and quickly. "Blurred" photos are extremely rare. Now I am the mother of a small child. You know, he moves, he moves very fast. But the device always keeps up with him! It is possible to take a lot of photos in 2 seconds! After all, children's smiles and laughter are so priceless that I want to capture it for a long time! I'm sorry, but I won't put up a photo of the baby yet for personal reasons.

A good DSLR for beginners, but no more
Usage experience:a year or more. I love Sony SLR cameras, but when I took this one, I knew that the camera was far from full-frame, with dill, or in simple terms, amateur. In general, the tasks of this DSLR were simple traveling and shooting videos from a tripod. What I can recommend to do immediately after purchasing the camera: change the lens, buy a second battery, a lens hood (not in the kit kit), take a shoe (flash).

I can't say that she took amazing pictures right out of the box. The reason for this is the whale lens, which smears 1 out of 3 photos, so immediately SAL1855 can be safely removed from sight. With a good SAL1850 lens, quite good photos are obtained, which, by the way, are obtained on Sony A230, the price of which is three times less on avito.

To be honest, the camera caused vague impressions: the promised FullHD in fact by the number of pixels per inch is just 1680 *1050 (HD+), so even on a tripod without movement, very poor results are obtained. The number of frames per second is clearly lower than stated, but in general, a camera can be suitable for documenting events from a tripod. If you can record videos for YouTube, then editing them in programs, the source code for the phone for 7-10 thousand is much more interesting.

The photosensitivity is actually lower than stated, there is a huge amount of noise and soap in the evening, and what can you expect from a camera that you can buy for 7 thousand with a lens? All my quibbles relate exclusively to this model relative to the more expensive ones, there are no competitors among the cheap models of SLR cameras.

The battery is weak and tends to discharge at any inconvenient moment. The flash is not bad, but it's better to buy a shoe for 1.5-3 thousand from your hands and shoot calmly. A branded and uninformative screen.

Photos with good lenses turn out really good, this is especially noticeable with high-power lenses. However, with the usual hiking 18-55-135mm, the camera likes to smear even in sports modes, and it becomes clear that it was created only for artistic photography, and not for reportage shooting, which you get used to after the old Alpha and Canon. The usual ease of reportage shooting, characteristic of sonka, is no longer there, you have to adjust to even simple daytime photos on the go.

Summarizing, we can say that the camera has a number of disadvantages that are not typical for earlier models. Pictures without motion certainly deserve attention. It is one of the best among the competing cameras, that's a fact. A plus can be called the HDR function and supposedly the possibility of FullHD video shooting, but this is more of a lure than the real advantages of this device. The most important plus is the weight, the camera weighs almost nothing when compared with its fellows. The second thing that can be noted is the relative novelty of this model, i.e. when buying with your hands, the opportunity to get a non-working carcass in a couple of days tends to zero. However, do not forget that the focusing drive is located in the device itself, so the camera will not suffer a fall in working form.

Sony SLT A37 Alpha kit. Simple settings even for a beginner. But there are also disadvantages! Before that, we used Nikon Coolpix P520. But since my husband and I both have traveling jobs, at some point we decided that it was more convenient when everyone had their own camera. Since I am an amateur, I also need a camera just to take pictures with pleasure. There was no talk about unnecessary bells and whistles right away. I.e. the question was not which DSLR is better, but which DSLR is better for an amateur beginner. And I also wanted a DSLR with a translucent mirror. Because if in traditional cameras, focusing temporarily stops at the moment of changing the position of the mirror, then in devices with a translucent mirror, autofocus is continuous. Continuous focusing during video and serial shooting allows you to get a consistently clear image. Also, the technology of a translucent mirror allows you to save on the dimensions and weight of the device. And most importantly, the translucent mirror is stationary, fixed rigidly, which means that with a slight shock or shaking, it is less likely that the mirror will shift. I'm not too careful, so it's important to me. A significant disadvantage of devices with translucent is that a quarter less light falls on the matrix. But, Sony SLT A37 reviews assured that in practice it is not so scary. I believed it.

Initially, the choice was between Sony Alpha SLT A37 and Sony Alpha SLT A57.Philistine reviews of Sony SLT A37 and A57 are about the same. I specially went to the store to hold it in my hands. Sony SLT A37 is a little lighter, it fits better in my small female hand. For example, shooting with one hand over your head is not a problem.
The A57 has a larger display. The battery capacity is slightly larger. Although charging a standard Sony SLT A37 battery is still enough to shoot more than 1000 frames, and buying a spare battery is still inevitable, so to speak, so as not to waste time while the native battery is charging. The video shooting speed of the A57 is higher (50p), which, however, is noticeable only when shooting fast-moving objects. I'm not into videography, so it didn't seem so significant to me (then I regretted it). Sony SLT A37 is a little more compact. It's important to me. And A37 is 2000 rubles cheaper. In general, we chose the Sony SLT A37 camera. In general, they did not regret it.
So, what I objectively got by buying Sony Alpha SLT A37 kit. The camera provides photographing a series of clear images of moving objects at a speed of up to 7 cad/sec.

The LCD screen can significantly change the angle of inclination. This is convenient if the camera is significantly higher, lower, or deployed relative to eye level.
After zooming in and cropping the image, By Pixel Super Resolution technology restores the full number of pixels. This ensures the highest possible image quality.

The Zoom function doubles the magnification of the lens without loss of clarity and without the use of additional equipment. The camera automatically finds faces and sets image boundaries for easy composition creation. I really liked the night shooting modes. Previously, the photos did not turn out so clear.

Disadvantages of Sony Alpha SLT A37:
Insufficiently smooth arrival and departure of the Zoom function.
I don't like the quality of JPEG images too much. Better RAW.
The manufacturer does not provide a cord for the lens cap. I've almost drowned her several times already, dropped her countless times.
With a sharp temperature drop, the camera lenses fog up for a while (see photo). For example, when in the south you leave a cool room in the heat of + 40. The first time I was very scared of this.

In general, as a person who is not too sophisticated and picky, I like this Sony DSLR.

Favorite Photo-Sonechka and photo evidence of her capabilities: from portrait to panorama. This review of the Sony Alpha SLT-A37 SLR camera is unlikely to be useful to professional photographers, since I am not them at all, but just a crooked amateur. In addition, professionals are unlikely to be interested in this camera, since they use the equipment at times more expensive and pretentious. And they discuss it on professional photo forums.

Therefore, I will tell you what I, a housewife mom, like about this camera.

As everyone knows, for a high-quality final product (in our case, photos), you do not need expensive uniforms, but straight hands. And properly selected lenses, which can cost many times more than the carcass itself. Most often, the Sony Alpha SLT-A37 comes right with the kit 18-55 lens, but we bought the carcass without it, buying a 50mm f/1.8 portrait camera, which we needed more. All the photos presented in the review for example were taken with him, so perhaps this is even more an indicator of not the capabilities of the camera itself, namely the lens. And the directness of the hands. But the camera here also tried, as without it.

I return to the consideration of the pros. For me, an amateur photographer, they consist of the following:

1. Price. We bought a camera a couple of years ago, when prices were much nicer than today. But even now, in price comparison with other cameras, it should win.

2. Size. The camera is very compact, lightweight, convenient for women's pens, but it also lies comfortably in her husband's hands. Choosing between it and the Alpha SLT-A58, it was more convenient for me to hold the A37 in my hands. Without a lens, the camera weighs only 506 grams.

3. Convenient manual focusing. The camera has 2 focus modes - autofocus and manual. In auto mode, the camera will focus for you, but not always where you need it, so it's more convenient to use manual mode. And due to the fact that the camera circles the focus area with a green outline, it is impossible to make a mistake. As far as I know, there is no such thing in other photographic equipment companies. With proper skill, taking pictures with the right focus is more convenient than in auto mode.

4. Excellent rotary screen. It changes the angle of inclination easily and conveniently, it is very necessary when shooting "from the ground". It doesn't move to the side, but I don't need to.

5. Slowly discharged. But my husband still wants to buy a second battery so that there are no incidents. Although even more he wants to buy a cooler camera, and already a battery for it. But as for me, this camera is enough with the head, and the battery, too.

6. Ease of use. Of course, it is much more difficult to deal with a SLR camera than with an ordinary soap dish, especially for ordinary people. But if you really don't want to study manuals on the topic of "DSLR for dummies", there is a button with a question mark on the camera. You click on it and the camera itself will tell you about the basics of photography, tell you about brightness, aperture, flash and much more.

7. A large number of interesting modes. You can use very interesting digital artistic filters and effects. For example, I really liked the light effects mode, which focuses on the selected color - red, blue, yellow or green, making the photo itself black and white, and leaving the object of the selected color colored.

8. Full HD video recording. In general, I am not a fan of video, but the opportunity to shoot this or that event qualitatively cannot but please.

9. The shooting speed is 7 frames per second. It gives a very good chance of a high-quality photo of a fidgety baby.

In general, I really like Sony Alpha SLT-A37 both in terms of the quality of the pictures and the ease of use. At the time of writing the review, I have been using it for 2.5 years. For comfortable transportation of the camera, I recommend buying a Sony LCS-AMB photo bag.
