Reviews Canon EOS 700D kit camera

I've been dreaming about this camera for several years and now we've been together for about a year and a half.

Before buying, I compared this model for a long time with other models from the Canon brand and from other manufacturers, but still settled on it.

The main advantage of this camera is in its display - it is touch-sensitive and it is also mobile.

The touch screen is very convenient. Imagine that you need to focus quickly and clearly on one specific object - that's where the main convenience is, because you can simply click on the selected area on the screen and it will be in focus.

The rotary display is very convenient. There are a lot of applications here in general. For example, you can install a camera on a tripod or on any surface and take a self-portrait or even take a picture of yourself with your hand. You can also shoot from unusual angles, for example from the ground, and see what you're shooting.

If you shoot through the Life View mode, not through the viewfinder, the speed of the camera decreases slightly.

Also, the speed of the camera and the number of frames during serial shooting are very dependent on the memory card used. So for example, I have two cards, one of the tenth grade and one of the fourth: the tenth grade and the serial shooting just flies, with the fourth one it is very annoying.

An important point is the weight of the camera. This camera is not very heavy, even with a whale lens. But if you shoot for a very long time, especially the view of the hands, my hands get very tired. If you shoot for several days in a row in intensive mode, it may be a little hard for the spine, personally I can't shoot for more than three days in a row - my back starts to hurt. Therefore, for fragile and not very athletic girls who plan to shoot a lot, I advise you to pay attention to mirrorless cameras - they are lighter and the picture there is no worse.

The battery of this camera can withstand a whole day of shooting, about 500 photos and several not very long videos. If you need to extend the life of the battery, I advise you to shoot only jpg and use only the viewfinder, not the screen.

Immediately after purchase, I advise you to buy a protective UV filter for the lens - it will protect the glass from scratches and dust, bumps and other vicissitudes of fate.

This camera is worth the money. For me personally, it's worth every penny. With this camera, I have already experienced more than one journey, shot more than 12,000 frames and a lot of videos. It works perfectly and I have no complaints.

Thanks to this mirror, photography has become a part of my life. My story with photography began about a year ago. I just raved about walking in the woods, meeting sunsets, I really love nature. I decided to save up money for a good camera, and not buy a soap dish. I stopped at the Canon 700D. To be honest, I didn't even consider other manufacturers, since I fell in love with Canon back in the store, there was a choice between 650D and 700D. As a result, I chose a newer model. Although now I can say that the 700D has no special advantages over the 650D, the only thing is that a specialized microphone can be connected to the 700D.

The long-awaited purchase cost me 38,000 rubles. Canon EOS 700D 18-55 STM. I unpacked the box with trepidation. I will not tell you in detail about the components, complete instructions, battery, charging, "body", lens, this is not the most important.

So, to the point. I must say right away that by the time of purchase, I had already passed some training in photography and knew quite well about the exposure values. But a beginner can handle the camera. It is suitable for both amateurs, since it has a normal auto mode, and professionals, the scope of creativity is provided.

The camera has a folding screen, it is very convenient to take photos from any angles. The case is rubberized, does not slip in the hands, is quite heavy, but for this there is a special strap that comes in the kit.

I can say that I have not regretted such a purchase, I have been using it for a year now, so far there are no problems with work, I had experience both in a downpour, and under snow, and in -20. Just don't lose the lens cap. She's not tied down.

Canon EOS 700D bought in 2014. In general, there are no complaints about the work. It works perfectly, performs its functions, there are no jambs, the sensor works perfectly. This DSLR is considered the first of the professional ones by the way. If you want a universal device, then that's it. According to the photos, everything is fine, but not quite according to the video. The video can be shot 60 frames max. HD, and 30 frames Full HD, and the quality itself leaves much to be desired. It's not bad, but for pro. SLR is clearly weak, and after uploading the video to YouTube, you can only watch from HD not lower. After the purchase, I was unpleasantly surprised that you still need to be able to shoot, especially on it, because focusing on it longer than the average and expensive device is not a guarantee of good content, but it's not difficult to figure it out. If we consider it as a purchase in 2019, then in my opinion it is better to take some iPhone, whose camera will be better than this DSLR, but if you want to shoot professionally, play with the settings, then you need to think because this device is morally outdated. The result of the review: the flagship for your money in due time, I do not advise buying it now.

SLR cameras are not a guarantee of good photos, they are not suitable for everyone. In photography, you know, who is into what a lot.

And now, my amateurish thoughts on this device: Body and body Personally, I like to hold it in my hands, but this is partly only because I'm used to it. Nikon cameras, or rather their carcasses, in my opinion, are more thoughtful. When I picked up the Nikon D5200, to which I am absolutely not accustomed, it seemed to me that it was more convenient to hold it than the Canon 700D, which I had been shooting with for 1.5 years at that time. But it doesn't bother me at all to take photos and enjoy the results. There are no serious comments on ergonomics, everything seems to be at hand.

The lens. It is really "not enough", I would advise you to change it later. But don't worry, with the right settings, it's not difficult, if you figure it out, you can get decent pictures. Please do not expect to take cool photos in low light conditions with such a light intensity (f/3.5-5.6). And poor illumination is almost everything that differs from a clear or not very bright day. There are exceptions in the form of, for example, illuminated buildings at night. Don't forget that this is just my experience. I'll tell you about shooting the video a little later. Invest in the lens when you master the camera, and you will be happy.

Screen. It's pivoting. I do not know what I would do without it. I can take self-portraits or hold the camera high above my head, watching what happens in the frame. It helps to build an interesting composition. The screen is touch-sensitive, and for me this chip is useless. It is much faster and more convenient to use buttons. But it's cool, sometimes you can poke with nothing to do.

Video. You can, if you really want to. But the constant focus, maybe I just haven't figured out how yet. You'll have to sweat.

Quality 18 MP, 5184x3456. Well, good. I shoot only in RAW format, I can't complain. If the photo was taken in good light. You can see every hair, blade of grass, atom. This was my very brief review, I tried only to the point.

When I chose a SLR camera, I heard many times:"It's not a camera that takes pictures, but a person," then I didn't fully understand it.

Canon 700D is not suitable for those who would like not to dig into the settings and shoot in automatic mode, for example, when traveling, on excursions. The device simply won't open for you.

My review has been in the draft for a long time. I hesitated for a long time, what kind of rating to give this camera. I had previously estimated the camera at four, but the last straw was a trip to Tambov for the winter New Year holidays, where we took two cameras: FUJIFILM FinePix HS25 EXR and this Canon 700D DSLR. After the trip, my rating dropped to 3 stars. The objects were the same, the choice of the point and time of shooting was the same, basically we used automatic mode, since we were on an excursion and you won't really dig into the settings every time you want to take a picture of something interesting. Already at home I was sorting through the photos. And I felt sad. The percentage of unsuccessful shots from the Canon 700D was unacceptably high compared to the FUJIFILM FinePix.

And this is taking into account the fact that the Fuji camera is almost 5 years old, and Canon is a little more than 1 year old. There are much more than 10,000 pictures taken on Fujii's camera, and about 2,000 on Canon. Fuji was bought for a ridiculous price of 11 thousand rubles, though 5 years ago, and I gave 42 thousand rubles for Canon in the fall of 2015.

What annoys me about this camera.

Almost complete inability to shoot on the LCD display. It's kind of there, it's 360-degree rotatable. Take it off as you want. at least from above, at least from below. Yeah. This is if you manage to display a clear image on the LCD display. The camera takes an indecently long time to transmit information to the display, stabilizes the image for a very long time and adjusts. Already the bird and the bee have flown away, the sun has set behind a cloud, and the camera is still wise.

Through the video finder, the setup time is reduced by an order of magnitude. Well, and if I don't want to take pictures only through the video finder. If I need to photograph an object that is located from me through some obstacle, then what should I do.

Now a separate conversation about focusing on the object. A complex multipoint focusing system is claimed. I see 9 red dots in the video finder. If they are all red, then the image will be good. But I can count the photos on my fingers when all the dots were pointed. Usually only half or even less. The choice of location, lighting, and taking pictures while inhaling or exhaling also do not affect these points. My hands are not shaking. The muscles are sufficiently inflated, for example, I can lift a 25-liter canister of water without breaking my heart. Therefore, it will not work to write off unsuccessful pictures for the camera wobbling in your hands. Automatic mode, when the settings are selected by the camera itself, does not improve the weather. I don't know what Canon doesn't like. In this sense, the camera is problematic.

Who is not enough, I add more negativity. The camera values itself so much that it determines when the shutter button should work. If he doesn't like something, for example, too close or far away, too dark or "the stars in the sky are not so arranged", the shutter button simply won't be pressed. Alas. I don't like such a clever technique that determines whether it is worth working or not if the photo is obviously unsuccessful.

The bokeh effect is too pronounced. Keep that in mind. Maybe someone likes this effect, but I prefer a clearer picture.

My camera has a canon 18-55 mm whale lens. Not the best and with disabilities. If it is replaced, the situation may change. But this also means that you will have to add about 20 thousand more to the money that you will already pay for the camera.

Unfortunately, while on a tour of historical sites, you will not be able to tell the guide, they say, do not leave, I will now choose the right angle and wait until the cloud leaves. These will be your and only your problems, and no one from the tour group will be interested in them. In the conditions of "on the run" everything is filmed automatically. And unfortunately, the Canon 700D camera will not help you in this case. And it will only worsen the problem.

The next point is not negative, but just the features of this camera. But they should be taken into account for those who need a camera to shoot large objects, for example, beautiful buildings. I repeat once again, I am not a professional photographer and I do not know what characteristics of this camera or their total properties affect whether an object will fit into the frame or will not fit at a limited distance to the object.

I say right away, with Canon 700D, with ordinary street construction, when shooting from the opposite side of the street, the house will not fit completely into the frame, especially if it is more than 4 floors. Therefore, it is very problematic to photograph, for example, a church, so as not to cut off the cross and at the same time the entrance doors were visible. Keep that in mind.

For comparison. The shooting was from a single distance, which was limited by the church fence. as it is, so it is. FUJIFILM FinePix Bazhenov Church in the Hanger got in completely and there is still room left, and the Canon 700D turned out as much as possible just like that. And note that in the case of the Canon 700D, I shot vertically.

Excellent color reproduction. The colors are bright, clean, rich and natural. Green will be green, not acidic. Blue is blue, not an electrician.

At dusk, the camera is weird, but with the onset of complete darkness, it turns on a second wind. And the photos turn out wonderful. Practically without noise and grain, where black will be saturated, and light objects bright and clear.

User-friendly interface. Much clearer settings than FUJIFILM. If desired, you can choose the optimal shooting settings for yourself.

If you have extra money that you will spend if you don't spend it on something worthwhile, then it's better to buy a Canon 700D.

But if you have a special amount set aside for a high-quality camera, then it's better to treat the choice more thoroughly and look for other options. Maybe a less well-developed technique, but with great capabilities.

And don't ask me why I bought it. I fell for the rave reviews. In addition, I once had a Canon PowerShot S2 IS, which I adored. Alas. I'm getting more and more disappointed with this model. Maybe the Canon 700D is not bad for certain purposes, but as a workhorse it is absolutely not suitable.

I dedicate this review to my favorite DSLR camera canon eos, or rather canon eos 700D.

I've been dreaming about a new camera for a long time. I dreamed the way people dream about going to Paris or about diamond earrings. Long, hard and selflessly.

And after a long time, I became the owner of a wonderful Canon EOS 700 kit SLR camera.

I moved to it from the soap dish of the same manufacturer - Canon PowerShot SX150 IS (link to the review). Unfortunately, the camera was defective and every shooting with it turned into a real test.

The requirements that I put forward for the camera.

Firstly, knowing the "feature" of my previous camera, I wanted the durability of the battery charge so that it could shoot at least one day without recharging, the old one took no more than half an hour.

Secondly, I like to shoot "macro", so this function had to be.

Thirdly, the ease of understanding and convenience of the camera.

I have been in close contact with the Canon EOS 700D camera for a month and a half, until we became friends, but we are already on the way to this. Some points in it I absolutely do not like, as further in the text. But sometimes she shoots so masterfully that I'm ready to give up on all her shortcomings.

+ excellent photo and video quality;

+ high functionality;

+ you can customize it for yourself;

+ touch screen rotation;

+ Ultrasonic cleaning of the matrix;

+ ergonomics;

+ tracking autofocus;

+ charging holds up well;

+ the price-quality ratio is excellent.

Of the disadvantages, probably only that it is a little heavy, otherwise everything is fine, does not fail and works stably well, I like everything.
