Canon EOS 600D camera - review

Canon EOS 600D camera - review
Canon EOS 600D camera - review

My first SLR camera after the Canon EOS 600D soap dishes and have been together for more than two years. One of the most popular models among beginners in photography. Photos for a standard whale lens 18-55mm and a Chinese portrait camera Yongnuo YN 50mm f/1.8.

At the moment, the photos in most of the reviews are made specifically for him on the Canon EOS 600D. Yes, and I bought a camera precisely in order to improve the quality of photos in the reviews, and several buttons broke on the Canon PowerShot A3200 IS soap dish and the photo quality ceased to suit me.

I don't know why, but I've always preferred Canon over Nikon. And although I've looked at Nikon models, it's just to be aware of what they have.

The next criterion by which I chose a camera is the amount I could spend on it. And of course, after comparing prices and finding the best option for the price and the model that I could get for it, I went shopping. At that time, according to the price characteristics, I was completely satisfied with this particular model.

The box is impressive, and the camera itself is far from a crumb, unlike the soap dish. But once you start using it, you quickly get used to its size. It lies comfortably in your hands, nothing gets in the way. To say that it is heavy would not be true. Inside the box there is a thick manual and installation discs that I did not use. Included with the camera was an 18-55mm whale lens, a charger, a cord for connecting to a computer and a TV. The equipment of the camera is different and of course it plays on its price.

What I liked the most when choosing a camera is that it has a rotary screen - you can take selfies, or just control the situation with outstretched hands by turning the screen as needed. And also if you wear it without a cover by closing the screen, you don't have to worry about the integrity of the screen.

The modes are also changed by the wheel, as well as on the Canon soap dish, if some modes are not clear, then their description can be found in the instructions for the camera. At the moment I use only the M mode and the video shooting mode.

The main keys are on the other side, where you can also fully customize everything we need.

There is a built-in flash, but it is pointless to use it. It hits right in the eyes and the frame will be successful only if we attach a special lens or which we make ourselves, but it is better not to use it at all if possible, because it turns out not at all what we expect.

The camera thinks and thinks very quickly. I work on it with two lenses and on both the picture suits me completely - clear and bright.

By the way, I recently read an article that it is better to change the carcass or lenses, so the result was that the lens, since it can give a lot of what the camera can give, or that changing the carcass to a better one, we don't always need the best and we can do without it for the time being.

There is a place for a USB flash drive on the side, you can use a regular micro SD with an adapter, as I do, it is very convenient that you can take small ones in a box and save a little on this.

You can also connect it with a cord, but I rarely do this, it's easier for me to pull out the USB flash drive and move it to a laptop.

The battery is inserted from the bottom, after taking more than 15,000 pictures for two years, it began to discharge a little quickly, especially if the display is on, so at the moment I decided to order another spare one so that one is always fully charged.

I have two lenses and I still have enough of them, of course, the lens of the first necessity is a portrait, but as soon as I feel that I'm growing out of it, I'll buy a zoom with a good aperture. But at the moment, it's not bad with two, and thanks to the portrait painter fixik, we also do physical education - walking back and forth.

There is a minus on the video mode - he himself does not focus on you, so you have to be creative and focus on something where you will be sitting, or try to do it somehow with an outstretched hand.

Bottom line: I was satisfied with the camera, although there are some disadvantages, but they are not critical. For 2.5 years of use, he gave me only pleasant emotions and I advise for beginners or for home use. It's not for nothing that the 600 model deserves such attention, it's really a decent model, but together with a good lens, the picture will please even more.

When I first started writing reviews here, I set a goal for myself-to be honest and talk only about what the opinion really was, because I don't see the point in writing reviews for quantity. So that's what I'm talking about, I could tell about the camera from the first day of registration on the site, but for some reason I constantly postponed this moment... It seemed to me that the time had not come. And today I realized that I want to share with everyone my experience and opinion about using a Canon 600D SLR camera.

Model: Canon 600D Kit 18-55

When I was still in the 6-7 grade, the world of photography began to interest me, at that moment I had the most ordinary Canon soap dish, which I was crazy about. With my friends, we held home "photo sessions", and then I processed these photos in the evenings, applying different effects to them. Then it seemed to me that I was a confident user of Adobe Photoshop.

Then I started watching training videos, from which I understood my mistakes both in photographing and processing. And the more I learned, the more I wanted to get a SLR camera.

In the 8th grade, I set a goal for myself - to save up for an entry-level DSLR. And for more than a year, I studied articles, video reviews, different opinions of popular photographers on the topic of what to buy for a beginner. Then these numbers, buttons and parameters were something distant and completely incomprehensible to me. And also this eternal dispute: which is better than Canon or Nikon.

In the 10th grade, I saved up the amount for which I could buy the first camera in the Canon line, at that time it was a Canon 1000D or 1100D, to be honest, I don't remember. But my parents gave me a gift that I never dreamed of, added almost as much as they had accumulated and bought a Canon 600D.

Description of the model. I don't see the point in attaching a bunch of photos of the camera itself, because I think the most important thing is that you should be comfortable holding it in your hands and the parameters should meet your requirements. And what color the logo is, or on which side the battery is inserted - these are trifles.

All technical specifications can be found on Yandex.Market, the information there is presented in a convenient form for study, available for comparison with other models of interest.

Separately, I want to say about the rotary display, the model without it (Canon 550D) was not much cheaper. Here he really helps. At first, you always want to try everything at once, take a picture of something from the grass or vice versa with outstretched hands.

And I will immediately warn those who plan to shoot a video, the 600D model does not have a tracking autofocus in video mode, take this into account when choosing a technique, you will have to focus with your hands, or adjust the focus in advance. But do not give up on shooting videos at all, I know people who have turned out gorgeous clips for this camera. And in the quality management of the YouTube channel, this did not interfere with them.

I will also draw the attention of newcomers that the camera described by me has a crop matrix (I strongly advise you to read about it separately, who is interested), i.e. you need to multiply all the focal lengths indicated on the lens by 1.6. That is, my 50 mm lens on this camera has a focal length of 80 mm.

While I was studying theory, dreaming of a SLR camera, the information fit into my head, but I could not even think that holding a dream in my hands would turn everything upside down. And there was one solution: to try and experiment!

I photographed friends, animals, nature. Experimented with lights and settings.

I tried to put the photos in chronological order so that I could really track my path.

Most often on amateur shoots, I set up the camera, told my friend where to take a picture and where to click and got good photos. So do not despair, cool photos will be not only with your friends, but also with you, the main thing is to want.

A year later, I bought the most budget Canon portrait lens 50 mm, 1.8, it was at that moment that I realized that I had grown out of a Kit lens and wanted more. If there is interest, I will write a detailed review about it.

I tried to show in as much detail as possible what can be achieved by having a SLR camera and studying its capabilities.

Tips for choosing the first DSLR. About the stamps. Friends, Canon and Nikon are the leading manufacturers of photographic equipment now, there is no better or worse.
If you don't know why you need extra bells and whistles for extra money, then you don't need them. Remember, more than half of the chips are advertising moves of companies. And you won't see any difference in the pictures between, for example, 550D and 650D. Personally, I see a fundamental difference between a crop matrix and a full frame.
It takes off not the camera, but the hands. It is important to understand this and not to hope for gorgeous photos from expensive equipment.
The lens, not the camera, makes a greater contribution to the quality of the photo. Therefore, if you have the funds, invest them in a better lens, not a camera.
If you buy a camera with your hands, check the mileage necessarily, this can be done with the help of special programs.

I hope I was able to convey the information clearly and clearly, to answer some questions that you had. For 5 years, I have saved up for a full-frame camera and bought it quite recently, which I am incredibly glad about. But nevertheless, I advise you to start with the younger models. By the way, almost all the photos in the reviews were taken on a Canon 600D.

Thank you for reading to the end. I will be happy to answer all your questions in the comments.

Tell me, have you ever wanted to capture this or that moment forever. Whether it's a beautiful sunset playing with a thousand colors, or the rays of the sun breaking through from behind a thundercloud, or maybe the smile of a loved one. And capture it exactly as you see it, without changes: interference, violations in the color palette, loss of any important nuances of the frame. Personally, I wanted to.

The camera of my smartphone, although it had as much as 8 MP., could not give out anything like that. It's not for masterpieces, in general. I had very little of it, so I seriously thought about buying a SLR camera. At first I decided to start with a relatively simple, but very high–quality and functional model - Canon EOS 600D. This DSLR has become a real undying classic. More advanced, more advanced older models have entered the market for a long time, and the Canon 600D remains the most purchased SLR camera of the EOS line.

Now we are inseparable. Where I go, he goes. All my reviews, all my impressions, all important events are captured by my dear Canon.

This review is both an ode to this camera and a source of a variety of information, both about the model itself and about photography in general.

Ergonomics and appearance of the model. The camera is made of dense and high-quality plastic. It is quite small in size, and light in weight. The case material is wear-resistant, does not scratch or erase much, looks perfect even after a year of constant dragging back and forth.

The model is equipped with a neck strap. Here it is inconvenient. Constantly twisted and rigid.

For me personally, camera control is very ergonomic. All important and necessary buttons can be easily reached, all settings are intuitive. Especially if you read the thick "toldmud", called the instructions for the camera. Everything is detailed and well-painted there.

Overall, the model looks decent and relatively solid. For your level, of course.

My lenses. I have three lenses, each with its own purpose and its own functions:

1. Canon 18-55 IS II. The lens is "whale", which means that it is usually supplied with a camera. The simplest and most inexpensive, but very versatile. They can shoot both portraits and some individual elements, as well as a landscape or a general view. Such a lens will help in a small room. For versatility and a small amount, you have to pay with a luminous intensity. The lens is quite "dark". On the street on a sunny day it is not noticeable, but indoors it is almost impossible to do without a flash.

2. Canon 55-250 IS II. A telephoto lens. That is, a lens that allows you to shoot with a large magnification. The lens is bulky, rather long, noisy, shoots mediocre, focuses very slowly. To shoot them some birds from afar, you need these birds to be glued to one place and not turn their heads. Smile And it is also "dark", and the flash, as you understand, cannot be used at long distances. In general, I personally almost never use it. The lens is only for close-ups and good lighting.

3. Canon 50 1.8. Portrait lens. As the name implies, the lens is designed for photographing portraits. Well, or at least, for pictures of two or three people. More is also possible, but you will have to move away. The lens is excellent - small, light, with a large aperture, with a relatively beautiful background blur (bokeh). It gives a beautiful and lively picture and conveys the correct proportions of faces…This is if it hits the target, and it hits 50/50. Again, the costs of low cost.

Which lens to buy first. To begin with, I advise you to purchase a universal lens 18-55 or 18-135 and a portrait camera (50, 40, 80), if money allows. With the rest of the purchases, it is better to wait.

Modes and settings. Of course, the most important thing in a camera of this kind is the shooting modes. For the Canon 600D, they are divided into a green zone (fully automatic modes designed for different conditions) and a zone of manual modes, manual and semi-automatic modes for creative shooting. There is also the possibility of video shooting.

The green zone is good for those who don't bother. But such people generally do not need a mirror.

Green zone modes – sports, portrait, landscape, etc.

The zone of manual modes is good for flexibility of settings. For the most part, I use semi–automatic modes - with aperture priority, where you need to select the sensitivity and aperture value, and the shutter speed will be selected by the device itself and with shutter priority, where you need to select the shutter speed and sensitivity yourself, and the aperture will be selected automatically.

In more difficult conditions, you can use a completely manual mode – nothing prevents you from creating here. Well, except for the technical ceiling of the camera and lens, of course.

In manual mode, everything is independently adjusted at once – sensitivity (iso), shutter speed, aperture.

Also, each mode has additional settings – both important White balance, the quality of the resulting image, focus points, and not so much, post-processing, and so on.

Impression of the technical characteristics and the overall quality of the photo.

Of course, in many ways the quality of the photo depends on the lens. But it depends on the "carcass" of the camera itself, with what settings the shutter speed, sensitivity will be made, the dynamic range depends on the camera, that is, the quality of working through all parts of the photo with different lighting, and some other settings.

So, the sensitivity of the camera is weak, the picture starts to "make noise" already at ISO 400 and above. Nowhere without a flash.

But I personally have enough endurance with a vengeance. The dynamic range is not so wide, the bright sky and the dark earth can be worked out in one frame, but it is difficult. Here either Adobe Lightroom or an artificial extension of the DD comes to the rescue, that is, we make several identical frames with different exposures and combine them into one photo. A lot of hassle.

In general, with good lighting and the right choice of exposure, the frames turn out stunning, in some places even better than any praise.

In difficult conditions, the situation is saved only by manual mode and flash. And sometimes manual mode without flash. For example, recently I was on vacation, we went to the aquarium: a semi-dark room with aquariums illuminated by weak light. It was possible to take pictures there, but only without a flash. With manual mode, I got great shots, automatic and even semi-automatic modes just wouldn't give me anything except dark and blurry photos.

Of course, technically, the camera is not perfect. But its wide possibilities and flexibility of settings allow you to experiment, create and learn.

Additional literature. The first thing you should definitely read to the owner of the Canon 600D camera is the user manual. It is large, detailed and with pictures. It has everything about modes, settings and all sorts of camera chips. Don't miss it, at least make it stronger.

I also recommend reading authors like Brian Peterson and Lee Frost. They write well, they are accessible, the books have been translated into Russian. There are many examples of photos.

Tips for beginners

Find out what an exposure triangle is and learn how to work with it. If you master this, you will already be a great photographer.
In order for your photos to be colorful, interesting, atmospheric and without flaws, they also need to be processed. And to make it easier to process them, take photos in RAW format. This format collects a lot of different data about a photo and therefore it is easier to process such a frame than a regular JPEG frame. I photograph RAW+JPEG if I process the photos, and just JPEG if I don't.
If you want to take good photos, practice. Understanding the frame comes with experience.
Forget about the myth: if you have a SLR camera, you will immediately become a professional photographer. Now such cameras are available and every second one has a DSLR. It's not even the camera that makes you a professional photographer, but knowledge and their application in practice.
Do not rush into the pool with your head, buying up all the lenses and various accessories for the camera, first get a universal lens, work with it, and then, as needed and understanding what you want to work with, buy other things. For example, I bought an external flash. For me personally, the thing turned out to be very necessary.

Result. I'm happy with the camera. Such a space for creativity opens up. You can take pictures for yourself, and some events, and make high-quality photos based on reviews. Flexible settings, good assembly, reliability. More than 10,000 frames have already been snapped, but the camera is like new. But we must remember, a SLR camera is for those who want to learn how to take pictures, and not just press buttons. Of course, the Canon 600D is far from perfect in technical terms. But I still love him very much and for the money he costs, he's gorgeous.

Bonus. A small FAQ about SLR cameras:

1. So, if you are going to buy a DSLR of the initial category in the hope of getting masterpieces right away, then buy a fancy soap dish better. There is no "Masterpiece" button on Canon and it is not planned yet. To get at least a little pleasant to the eye shots, you need to at least minimally study the basic settings of the camera and know the initial basics of photography. Because on the machine, the vaunted Canon will give you pictures of the level of a good soap dish. And if you can't see the difference. But if you are fascinated by the idea that you can control the frame the way you want and if you have a desire to learn something and have common sense, then buying a SLR camera is for you.

2. For familiarization, it is better to buy an inexpensive DSLR. If you chose Canon, then there are two options – Canon 600D and Canon 1100D, their price category is almost the same, but the 600D has slightly better characteristics, which is why I personally chose this model. But the 1100D is also highly praised. Don't even hope with these models and entry-level lenses to get the same photos as on the covers of magazines or on the websites of Prof.photographers. Someone will say that the price of equipment is not important. But no, it's still very important. If you study photography well, you will soon squeeze all the juices out of the camera and lens, reach the ceiling of quality. And you will understand that the highest quality photos are obtained only on professional equipment and only with the direct hands of the photographer, in no other way. But this does not mean that your shots on the initial model will be completely bad. They will be excellent, and in some cases even masterpiece. You just want to be even better and make even more masterpieces. And with amateur carcasses and cheap lenses, this, alas, is very difficult. So when buying an amateur DSLR, first come down from heaven to earth.

3. Actually, no, you can make do with the built-in flash. But if you compare these two flashes, it's just heaven and earth. However, an external flash is not required to purchase and is purchased as needed and desired.

Ideal for those who have just started to learn the basics of photography. Pros and cons of a SLR camera. Functionality and features. Features.

In 2012, I bought a Canon EOS 600D SLR camera in one of the digital equipment stores. I bought a camera because I really wanted to take bright and juicy pictures. In phones at that time, who remembers, the cameras were lousy and little depended on the brand and the coolness of the model.

And to be honest, now the cameras on smartphones are, of course, much better than they were six years ago, but they are, of course, still far from the quality of the DSLR. Even though my camera is quite old, the quality and clarity of the pictures it has is much better than my brand new Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 32GB. Here are some pictures taken with this camera.

The complete set of the Canon EOS 600D camera. Included with the camera is a belt with a company logo, an instruction manual, a warranty card, a whale lens 18-55 mm macro 0.25m/0.8ft, a charging frog, a charging cord, a battery, a battery container, two driver disks and three covers: two for transporting the camera disassembled, and one for the lens.

As well as a USB cable for connecting to a computer and an audio-video cable, which I lost to the death of the brave from the teeth of a dog four years ago.

The Canon EOS 600D DSLR can be mounted on a tripod. To do this, there is a special recess at the bottom of the chamber.

But I don't have a tripod, so I can't say anything about using such a kit. In principle, the question of buying a tripod did not arise for me.

Optionally, you can purchase additional lenses, a more powerful flash and other useful accessories. I didn't buy anything for my camera, because it's nice that I think about all these photo opportunities.

The design of the Canon EOS 600D camera. The camera body is made of plastic. All corners of this model are rounded, like most Canon models. This was the first camera from this manufacturer with a rotary-lapel liquid crystal screen.

By the way, while using the camera, I noticed that the screen with a variable tilt angle is very convenient, although, I admit, initially I did not understand this at all.

I like that the 600D is very compact, you can take it with you on hikes, in nature or for amateur photo shoots in the city.

As for the belt, it is quite durable, the camera is comfortable to wear around the neck. The length of the belt can be adjusted using plastic clips. The belt is attached to the mirror by metal hinges.

Using a Canon EOS 600D camera

It is easy to use the camera, its functionality is simple and understandable even for a person who is holding a SLR camera in his hands for the first time.

The device turns on and loads quite quickly. It takes about 1.5 seconds to load the camera after switching on, I consider this a great advantage, since I often photograph animals that are in motion.

The camera is comfortable to hold with one hand, the focus and shooting button is conveniently located on the top of the camera.

The button is pressed easily. Over time, its functionality has not become worse: it reacts to pressing quickly, in a half-pressed state, it gives a clear focus.

Functions of the Canon EOS 600D camera

Probably, you have already noticed that there are a lot of different buttons on the camera. I studied all this at the time, but I use about 10% of all the functionality. And even that seems to me more than enough, at least for me.

It is very convenient that there is a Disp button in the camera. - which displays the already installed camera settings on the screen and, if necessary, they can be changed. It is possible to change the image style and set the white balance. I use these functions quite often, especially on cloudy days or when shooting indoors.

Another useful thing that is installed via Disp. - this is an opportunity to set a timer for a photo, take a serial shot or start a serial shooting with a timer. I usually use this feature when I'm relaxing in nature with friends - I set up the camera, put it on some flat surface and run into the frame!

More Disp. allows you to adjust the shutter speed and the IOS number. I don't use ISO, as it is designed for those shooting modes that I have never used. Yes, by the way, there is also a separate button to turn on iOS.

Above the screen on the left side there are two more Menu and Info buttons. The menu opens absolutely all settings, not only related to photography. Here you can reduce the brightness of the screen to save battery, set the time and date they are displayed in the properties of the photo when viewed from a computer, format the memory card, apply artistic filters, start a slideshow and much more.

In the slideshow mode, it is very convenient to view photos, for example, while in public transport or in a cafe: you launch and watch like a movie.

As for the Info button, there I usually look at how much free space I had left on the flash drive.

My USB flash drive is not big, only 16 GB. But it's enough for me to take about 10,000 pictures.

By the way, as for the pictures, the Canon EOS 600D can take pictures in JPG and RAW format. You can change the quality of the pictures in the settings.

There is a special ring on the camera for setting the shooting mode.

I usually use the "Sport" mode in the evening - "Night Portrait", and very rarely use the other modes. And there are 13 of them here: A-DEP, M, Av, Tv, P, intelligent stage mode, flashless mode, creative auto mode, portrait, landscape, macro, sports and night portrait.

Lens Kit 18-55 mm macro 0.25m/0.8ft

The first two digits (18-55) indicate that the focal length range is from 18 to 55 mm with a 1:3.5 aperture, which is quite good for an amateur. APS-C lens matrix. Other functionality is also encrypted in the name of the lens, the inscription macro 0.25m/0.8ft means that the minimum distance for focusing during photography is only a quarter of a meter.

When photographing with a lens, it is possible to zoom in or out the picture you plan to capture. Actually, as in all similar models. In addition, you can enable autofocus or select manual settings. There is a button on the left side of the lens that enables or disables autofocus: to turn this function on or off, you need to slide the button. I use mostly automatic mode and find it convenient and practical.

Canon EOS 600D Flash Camera

The built-in flash opens automatically in several modes. It is quite acceptable to take photos in the evening. But the distance between the photographed object and the photographer should be small, otherwise anything will come out. Of course, if you photograph mainly at night, it is better to buy a more powerful flash. The camera provides the possibility of connecting a third-party flash.

The result of six years of operation of the Canon EOS 600D DSLR

In six years of using the camera, I have never regretted buying it. The screen cracked, but the reason is my carelessness. The crack does not affect the performance, so I did not include the camera in the repair service. To be honest, I do not trust the specialists of various service centers. I want to emphasize that there are a lot of tips in the camera that are displayed on the screen. This helps you quickly master the camera's capabilities and take your first "mirror" picture. The camera is suitable for novice photographers and for amateurs. In addition, six years ago I bought this model for 19,000 money, I believe that the price corresponds to the quality.

The Canon EOS 600D was my first SLR camera. Before him, I used a good compact - Canon PowerShot SX230HS, but when I studied it inside and out, I wanted more. And in the spring of 2012, I started studying the topic of mirrors. I liked the Nikon D5100 and Canon EOS 600D. I didn't want to think for a long time - I bought the one that lay better in my hand.

I was immediately pleased with the much better quality of photos compared to my previous camera, despite the fact that the most inexpensive 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 ISII lens was installed. Of course, it took time to get used to the controls and figure out all the features of this camera. In my opinion, even 2-3 years after the announcement, this model may be the best choice for a novice photography lover, it has everything you need:

Manual and semi-automatic modes, RAW format
A good matrix that provides an acceptable noise level at ISO up to 1600
Rotary screen that allows you to take photos and videos from non-standard angles
The ability to control external flashes using the built-in
A huge selection of lenses, flashes and other accessories, both new and used
In addition, this is the only camera in its price category that allows you to choose the shutter speed and aperture in video shooting mode, so it can also suit novice videographers, but keep in mind that you can only focus manually.

The camera was with me for 2.5 years, helped me capture the views of four countries and never let me down. Once she was accidentally shaken out of her backpack onto the concrete floor from a height of about a meter... the eyecup flew off and a small crack appeared on the case, it did not affect the work in any way, I do not advise repeating it. The shutter release button "failed" a little, but continued to work properly.

As with any other DSLR, the quality of the photo will depend on the lens, and of course, on the photographer.

Now about your comments on the camera: I do not agree with the complaints of other users on color rendering and white balance - firstly, the color rendering depends on the lens, and secondly, you need to shoot in RAW and you will get the color rendering according to your desire. The white balance in automatic mode works correctly in 99% of cases. The battery lasts for about 700 frames without the built-in flash and using the live view mode, or about an hour of video. For myself, I closed the issue with batteries by ordering 3 compatible ones on eBay. The handle is generally comfortable, but if you attach a heavy lens + flash, the hand will go numb. The camera itself is not heavy at the same time. Sometimes recording stops during video shooting if a non-high-speed memory card is installed.

The general verdict is as in the title. A good option if you need a convenient camera with the potential for your creative growth, and you are not going to shoot a reportage video on it. At the moment there are more interesting options (650D, 700D), but they also cost more.

I want to tell you about my pet, the Canon 600D camera.

Before me, as before many, when buying a camera, there was a choice between Canon and Nikon. I didn't really understand anything about it then, I studied sites with reviews, prices and characteristics for a year. As a result, I realized only one thing, the difference between the firms is small, as they wrote in almost all reviews, Canon makes warmer, natural photos, Nikon, on the contrary, colder. I can advise one thing: go to the store, feel, stroke, look. What is more convenient in your hand and you like – take it. Do not listen to those who call only for the purchase of a single brand. I can also say, after a while, that Canon has more budget lenses, and this is a significant plus for those who are not ready to spend a lot of money on lenses. In November 2014, I purchased a Canon 600D. I took it to M.Video for 23,900, complete with a whale lens.

Equipment:

Canon 600D Carcass
Rim Kit 18-55 mm
USB Cord
Battery charger
Driver Disk
Instruction manual

What was purchased additionally:

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Lens
Sony VCT-R640 Tripod
Tamron AF 18-200mm Lens
Two Class 10 memory cards, for 16 and 64 GB
Bag
Reflectors
Light filters

The full specifications can be seen on any website. There are a lot of modes on the camera, but I use them extremely rarely (unless there is no time for settings, and the frame needs to be done urgently.

Impressions about the camera itself for 3 years:

In the hands of a professional, any camera will be good, it's not about the carcass and not about the lenses. The main thing is to know the basic principles and the correct parameters in the camera settings. I studied on websites, read articles and watched reviews. I tried earlier models, no worse. And the dream was originally a Canon 550D at all, but unfortunately, it was already discontinued, and I was afraid to take it used.

The camera is quite easy to use, there is a menu next to the screen and there are many different modes on the wheel, but I shoot from the first day in the "M" mode - manual mode. Before buying a camera, I immediately promised myself to forget what auto mode is. I'm far from a pro and I don't even claim this title, but I offer photo shoots to friends and acquaintances in order to improve my performance, who knows, maybe I can become an excellent photographer. I like that the camera has a rotating screen, you can do with holly.

I don't use a flash, but I want to buy an external one. The memory card was originally 16 GB, after I stopped missing it, and I bought 64 GB more. Both memory cards were class 10, because the quality of photos and videos is much better, you can't take less class. I take photos in RAW format, it is better to process photos in it. The battery holds a good charge, after a full-fledged photo shoot there is almost a whole battery. When the video was shot, the battery was enough for a whole day of shooting. By the way, the video quality is excellent. We shot a video greeting to friends for a wedding.

***

Canon 600D was bought 8 years ago. By my parents as a birthday present to me. Before that, I started photographing on an old soap dish also from Canon - PowerShot. Even my parents, who are far from photography, realized that it was necessary to take it. I didn't know all the advantages and advantages of SLR cameras yet, but I quickly figured it out, even without reading the instructions.

The price for it was the same as now - 30,000 money, which is undoubtedly pleasing.

Throughout all these years, it has been tested in all possible conditions:

Photographed a thunderstorm under a downpour
I fell on all my surfaces on the asphalt
Crashed the lens into the door
Was showered with paint-holly
Remained with an open matrix
Rubbed against a lot of objects
He doesn't care about anything.

I am sure that it will always be with me and I will not have to buy another one.

If you are a beginner, then with him you will begin to understand photography.

It has 24 megapixels, a good matrix - photos can be printed on posters. Shoots as many as 3 frames per second, which is enough for an ordinary user. This is enough to remove some good moment.

There are several presets for processing photos in the form of monochrome, sepia, grainy B/W, miniature effect and fish eye. They may be suitable for some plots. I often use grainy B/W for street photography. Very fast and convenient, and most importantly - beautiful.

Very comfortable rubberized handle. It is held securely in the hands, it has never slipped out of the hands.

The battery lasts for several days with regular shooting for a couple of hours. It also charges in a few hours. You can buy batteries for 200 money.

It can also shoot video, unlike some semi-professional DSLRs from Canon, and what else. FullHD with 30 frames per second and 1280p with 50 frames per second. I always shoot with 50 frames, the quality is very good and the picture is smooth. There are also minimal video settings, when high quality is not required, it weighs ten times less, respectively.

His microphone is very sensitive and high-quality, any word and sound is clear. The built-in speaker is very powerful and allows you to watch videos in a large company and everyone will hear!

There are a lot of photo quality settings, it will be useful in any situation when there is little memory left, but you need to remove something.

He also shoots photos in RAW format, in which you can achieve absolutely any results during processing. There are special plugins for it in Photoshop and Lightroom, and even separate programs. You can change the lighting, the color of anything, lighten or darken any shadow, and much more. In this format, the camera captures the full range of illumination. I use it exclusively if I need maximum quality and beauty. If you don't want to do post-processing, you need naturalness and less memory consumption - choose JPEG.

For fans of videography - it can also shoot videos in RAW, since it supports the Magic Latern firmware. It is installed extremely simply through a memory card. There are also useful things for photographers there.

The standard equipment consists of a camera, an 18-55 whale lens (my main one to this day), charging, wire, covers, branded belt, driver disk, instructions.

Bottom line: this camera is suitable for a person of any age and photography skill. I got it at the age of 13 and now it still fully satisfies my needs. The price for it is small and worth every ruble. High quality even in comparison with modern models of cameras. It is very reliable and suitable for all conditions. If sometime in the future I have a new camera, then I will 100% not stop taking pictures on it.
