It has a lot of cool functions that are not inferior to expensive professional equipment.
So, Canon has released the new EOS 250D. It replaced the EOS 200D. Touch-sensitive rotary screen, light weight, wireless connection, everything is in this baby. I bought it on February 29, 2020. I have it in use not so long ago, but I already have something to tell and show. Although I didn't even use it in full, but the results are very impressive. The camera is really very light, there are a lot of operating modes, the quality of pictures and videos is very pleasing. I am an amateur, so the functionality of this camera is quite enough for me.

My dream came true, I bought a SLR camera. I travel a lot, I go to the mountains and I want my photos to be more lively, and I also wanted to capture the stars and the Milky Way. Until that time, I used a Samsung digital camera that had manual settings, so I had a little practice before switching to a DSLR.
I chose it according to the budget, according to reviews, according to characteristics. I needed something not quite professional, having a lot of manual settings, giving good results. After a week of searching the Internet, I decided on a Canon EOS 250D camera. Its price is $650 and, fortunately for me, there is a WHITE color option left in the store. There is a lot of information about the product on the box, not so much in the box. The kit includes a camera (body), a whale lens, two lens caps and one for the camera, a charger with a cord, a strap for a camera and a battery. There are no operating instructions, but there is a warranty card. The store gave a two-year warranty, well, of course, if you don't kick this camera around the streets.
The instruction manual is not included in the package, because it is a whole book, almost 500 pages long, it is downloaded from the official Canon website.
The camera takes photos in CR3 format, this is the same RAW. You will not be able to view them on a PC or on a smartphone, only through primary processing.
On the official Canon website there is an excellent program for working with photos, it is an analogue of Lightroom, the program has many functions that will be enough for processing, converting, viewing photos.
The camera has bluetooth and wifi, so you can transfer photos immediately to your phone. The photos will be in JPG format with a loss of quality, but the program works smartly.
So, the display of the Canon 250D is a rotary display, I didn't understand this joke before, but now it has dawned on me that it is very convenient, especially if you are shooting the sky. You don't have to bend your head and yourself looking at the display. It is touch-sensitive, responds well, reads well, you would need to buy a protective film for it so as not to scratch it. The camera has a lot of settings of the camera itself and various scenes, for portrait, landscape, shutter speed and aperture priorities, etc. This is for those who don't want/don't like to mess with manual settings. Well, manual settings have a wide range of actions.
I believe that a SLR camera is not needed to click it in Auto mode, in this mode it will give results no better than an ordinary digital soap dish. It is worth studying the manual settings for each type of shooting, then the camera will definitely please you.
On the camera lens there is an image stabilizer button and a focus switch button: autofocus - manual focus. The first slight inconvenience for me is the not very good location of the red mark on the lens. That is, when you connect it to the camera, you spend a long time looking for which side to "stick" it. On the old cameras there were two red dots that can be seen from afar, but here everything is different.
The camera has a built-in flash, quite good and the ability to connect third-party flashes. Here you need to be more careful, because some people say that only native lenses and flashes are suitable for this model. I don't plan to buy them, so it doesn't matter to me, but if there are ideas in the plans to buy more accessories, it's better to clarify.
The leather lining under the right hand is well made, does not slip, does not move away. In my opinion, it's a great grip. On the front side, on the control panel, there are many buttons; photo magnification, settings, menu, image viewing, deletion, etc. Here, on the left, you can see the display folded, convenient, will not be scratched. There is also a Live view button, which displays the image on the display and vice versa - in the viewfinder and a small diopter wheel responsible for the clarity of the image. The viewfinder has a replaceable rubber eyecup, spare parts can be bought on Alik. On the left there are two connectors for the remote control and for an external microphone, tightly closed with a rubber gasket. On the right are two connectors for USB and HDMI, the latter allows you to view the material on the TV. But I had a problem with the USB cord, I didn't find it in the city, so it became impossible to transfer files to a PC in RAW format, but I have a magic adapter that will save the situation. At least until I buy a cord. The adapter looks like this, costs a penny and is sold in any mobile phone accessories store. The camera speaker is also located on top, the sound writes just fine, reproduces too. And, of course, a standard set of "wheel buttons".
The camera shoots excellent 4k video, which was not reproduced on my phone or on my PC, due to the fact that they are old.
I highly recommend not to be lazy and read the instructions, despite the fact that it has almost 500 pages. There are a lot of useful features in it, such as, for example, the presence of a 10x zoom when shooting video, setting the necessary settings, aperture functions, shutter speeds and much more. I am more than satisfied with the camera, it is a light-weight camera well suited for travel, the color is just fire, it works smartly. When shooting in RAW, it responds quickly and completes the saving process. I have enough battery to take 900 - 1000 photos, even more, because I was running out of space on the memory card, but the battery was still alive. This is with the use of a viewfinder, in cold weather - the same.
In 2020, I decided to learn a craft called photography and began to study first all the characteristics and functionality of various equipment, I shoveled a lot of information on the Internet, reviewed a lot of reviews, while mirrorless cameras such as the M50 were already coming out, but for some reason I didn't have confidence in them at that time, and I didn't consider them. Initially, I was looking for a camera that was strong, reliable, simple in functionality, and of course that would be included in my budget up to 40,000 money. In general, according to my requirements, the canon 200d camera was suitable, but they were no longer sold in branded stores for a while.
In general, I advise you to buy a canon 17 55 mm 2.8 object and you will not need anything else, this is the most ideal kit, and you will not need to stare at the L version and the like. And if you don't have money, then buy a canon 18-135mm object that is quite suitable for various tasks.
Canon EOS 250D bought 4 months ago and I will say right away that I am very happy with the purchase. Let's start with the fact that this is a very good option for novice photographers or video makers, because it has good price/quality parameters. Since I myself like to shoot Videos and took the device for this in the first place, but it also turned out that he also takes good photos, of course cool photos or videos, this primarily depends on who is holding it in his hands, because practice shows that it is possible to shoot masterpieces on budget devices, if there is the right one experience, a good idea, lighting, etc. but nevertheless, even beginners will be able to shoot great pictures with this camera. Of course, first of all you need to learn how to work with the settings, they are different in each camera.
Now as for my impressions.
1) I was pleased with the automatic focus on faces when shooting videos, by the way, this kid can shoot videos even in 4K. 25 fps. and Fullhd 50 fps. and it's really cool, for the price.
2) Native whale lens 18-55 mm. Not bad enough. Although ideally you will need to buy 50 mm.
3) Retractable screen it is convenient to shoot from different positions.
4) You can transfer the material via Bluetooth or Wifi directly to your smartphone.
5) There is a function for shooting TimeLaps.
To sum up, I really like my camera and I can do a lot of cool work with it. And my friends who have a lot of experience in the field of video and photography. They said that I have a great device. Shoots at the level of more expensive mirrors with a full matrix.
For what purposes this camera is suitable.
- 100% is suitable for shooting ads (The main thing here is a creative script)
. Weddings, Corporate Parties, Love story. - yes. But it is better to buy 35 or 50 mm Lenses for a more blurry background. Which gives a cinematic picture.
- For family use , of course yes =)
- For bloggers. Also suitable because there is a folding screen and you can safely shoot yourself.

24.1 megapixels is enough for excellent photo quality, including crop cropping.
Positive:
1. Thanks to Dual Pixel, it acts as a 2 in 1. As a SLR camera (through the viewfinder) and as a non-SLR camera (through the screen). All with reliable autofocus, and not a simple contrast, as in other cameras of approximately the same budget.
2. Very convenient, rotatable in all planes folding touch screen, excellent quality.
3. The new DIGIC 8 processor, which is installed on new and expensive cameras.
4. Excellent Full HD and 4K format support, it's generally a miracle for a camera for such a price.
5. The presence of a built-in flash with a leading number of 10 is also convenient for amateur shooting.
6. Although the battery is small, it holds quite well and lasts for about 1000 pictures, or more than an hour of continuous work in the video.
7. Low cost with high performance quality and light weight of the camera.
Minuses:
1. One socket for a battery and a USB flash drive, which is not very convenient when working with a tripod.
2. There are only 9 autofocus points in phase mode, which of course is not enough for fast and confident shooting in manual mode by points.
Bottom line: A good camera for your money. For a video, it's generally just a miracle.
