The Canon Digital IXUS 135 is an unworthy companion to the very worthy Canon Digital IXUS 85.
If you are not an advanced photographer, don't mess with it. It is a disappointment! I am a very average user. I don't know how to and don't want to use any fancy settings. I always had enough auto mode to shoot my family and interesting moments in my life. That's why I buy myself a lightweight compact soapbox, not an SLR. I want to press a button and get results. Just like I did with my great predecessor, the Canon Digital IXUS 85. It worked faithfully for 5 years, left us lots of great photos and videos and would have kept on working if a kid hadn't twisted its lens. So, this Canon Digital IXUS 135 is a complete misunderstanding. Its hypersensitive smart viewfinder searches for the unknown! As a result, more than half of the photos and even video are smeared, interesting moments are not captured, lost. And why do I need its megapixels, super sensor and 8x zoom, if it simply does not catch the frame. The battery is weak. If with the old Canon Digital IXUS 85 you could shoot, even if not actively, but the whole six months without recharging, the Canon Digital IXUS 135 lasts only for a week of not very active work. By the way, its compactness is also excessive. It's not comfortable to hold in your hand. I don't know if I can get used to it. Or will have to repair the old one, which is the cost of this failed Canon Digital IXUS 135 that I bought.
You won't find a better camera than the Canon Digital IXUS 135! I was looking for a new camera to replace my old Olympus, which I bought back in 2009. I didn't have a very big budget but I wanted a good camera. Luckily I found it. Canon Digital IXUS 135 I bought for only 2999 money, it has a matrix is standard for point-and-shoot cameras - 16 megapixels, 8 zoom, has Wi-Fi for easy transfer of images from camera to computer, it is powered by its battery, which lasts quite a long time. The camera itself is small and compact, has a nice design, a lot of settings, but also has an automatic mode. The quality of images are good, I am especially pleased with the macro shooting, great focus, the photos are a marvel. Videos are also good quality, when shooting movies, you can zoom in and out, which looks very cool. The camera is worth its price, something better in this price range can hardly be found.
