Включена функция PTY, на дисплее горит индикация выбранного типа программ. Но в это время автомагнитола не может обнаружить программы соответствующего типа (в результате автоматической настройки или сканирования). В этом случае автомагнитола переключается на ранее прослушиваемую станцию. Но при появлении в эфире сигналов программ соответствующего типа автомагнитола, работающая в радиорежиме, автоматически переключится на данную станцию.
Данная функция представляет собой одну из разновидностей сервиса системы RDS, которая все чаще применяется в радиовещании. Она позволяет осуществлять целевой выбор программ УКВ-диапазона в зависимости от их типа. После выбора определенного типа программ поиск станций может осуществляться в ходе функции автоматической настройки или сканирования радиодиапазона.
Функция REG. Некоторые радиостанции в определенное время переключаются на трансляцию региональных программ. Так, например 1-ая программа радиостанции NDH, транслирует в определенные часы региональные программы различного содержания для северных федеральных земель Германии Шлезвиг-Гольштейн, Гамбург и Нижняя Саксония.
